Is there a fallen covenant near Bury St Edmunds

Is there a fallen covenant near Bury St Edmunds? I'm writing one up based on the Green Children of Woolpit and I want to check there's nothing else nearby.

Libellus is pretty close. Perhaps some 10 kms.

I believe Schola Pythagoranis in Cambridge is alive and well in "Heirs to Merlin".

Didn't you do an online map of the Stonehenge tribunal some years ago? Perhaps you could double check that and make use of your previous research.

Of course, half the games I'm in have a covenant set in Bury St Edmund's, because CJ is from Bury, and with him as alpha storyguide and certain individuals as players covenants have a nasty habit of going boom. If you want a fallen covenant there, CJ can provide you with several examples.

I had entirely forgotten that map. :grinning:

Libellus, Schola Pythagorensis and Nigrasaxa are all within relatively short distances of each other. East Anglia is hermetically crowded!

That's why I'm founding my covenant over in Wales, by Llyn Brainne.

Well I guess there's more room between Blackthorn and Cad Gadu than there is in the Cambridge-Colchester-Bury triangle, but it's still a bit crowded (says he after he plonked a covenant in Hereford).

Looking at a map, it's only about 30-40 miles from where Blackthorn probably is. But there's a big difference in 30-40 miles of low density Welsh forested foothills compared to 30-40 miles of highly developed English farmland.

The covenant we designed was also a Winter covenant that dated back to the Schism War and partially lost in a regio with a Fae town replacing the mundane land, so we weren't exactly going for historical accuracy.

Bury St Edmunds is a bit too far south, but Heirs to Merlin (pg 16) puts both "Harold's Vengeance" (1066 - 1068, got marched for blatant mundane interference) and "Natura Antiqua" (1133 - 1143, a group of nature magi who got destroyed by a mundane lord) somewhere in the fens.

Edit: Also Occulta from 893 - 897. There have been a lot of short-lived fen covenants!

Ah, thanks, good tie ins. My basic idea is that the covenant lingered on in a regio and the children escaped when the church bell temporarily dumped it into the mundane world.
