Lab Texts and Elder Runes

When you create an item using Elder Runes, a lab text is created as well.

I would think that this lab text would be useless to anyone who didn't have the "Elder Runes" Mystery...

Opinions?

I would asume so for how else could they read the text?

Verditious elder runes effect the Magus' totals when enchanting, they do not directly effect the powers enchanted. Verditious elder runes are inscribed when the item is opened for enchantment rather than when powers are instilled in the item.

Therefore I would say that lab texts created while instilling powers on items with elder runes on them could be used by magi who do not have the virtue.

...
Erik...

Sorry, but I don't follow you on that...

The Elder Runes affect the powers...They raise the level of every(all) powers instilled by five...for each rune, and doubles the Arts used to enchant the effect....
This tends to make me believe that everything put into the item is bound within the framework of the Elder Runes...

Ooops I needed to read more carefully.

I 'was thinking that the runes just modified the magus lab total. In fact they also change the level of the final effect. I'd like to change my answer.
