I'm working on an Arthurian adventure (PENDRAGON not AM but this seemed the best place to ask) set in the Northern part of Italy during Arthur's conquest of the Roman Empire.
I'm looking for legends of the northern part of Italy (especially Lombardy) that I can base the game around.
I've already got the legend of the IRON CROWN OF LOMBARDY and | suspect the player knights will be discovering or recovering the nail from the True Cross that will later be incorporated into the Iron Crown.
I've got the legendary origins of the Lombards: I suspect that the city I'll be sending them to will be one of the last that still worships the Norse pantheon.
Any other suggestions for material I might incorporate?
