This enchanted axe is capable of summoning a large pile of firewood, equivalent to a good sized tree chopped up into cubit sized logs and sticks one time per day. The created wood lasts until the next sunrise or sunset. This means that if a fire is burning using only wood created by the axe, the fire is going to disappear at sundown or sunup. This device was created specifically to be enchanted with only one pawn of vis, in the covenant where it was created vis was more valuable than the work of a very young apprentice. The laboratory text uses a material bonus of +4 to effect dead wood.
