Just wonder what others thought on applying Vim Form Resistance to the Magic Addiction Concentration roll?
It isn't exactly a bonus to "soak total against damage inflicted by your own spellcasting", but it feels inline with the Mentem Form Bonus of "Rolls to resist mundane persuasion, deception, or temptation".
Not a huge fan - but IIRC the Silver Cord should help.
It's a major flaw and easily worked around.
Just master the right level formulaic spell, and cast that when the addiction roll fails. With the +3 every roll, sooner or later the magi will stop. Unless the magi is in the dominion, there should be no stamina loss.
It shouldn't be made easier to get around.
