magical defense against direct attack

I was thinking about magical defenses recently, like how you can give yourself extra soak, etc, and how this works pretty well vs most kinds of magical attack(crig, crau, rete &c) but for your sort of "direct attacks"(I dunno what else to call them) like peco wounding, pe/re me, and crvi warping describes most of them, where the magic directly effects the victim, there aren't a whole lot of options. So other than generic defenses(having a high/specialized parma/magic resist mastery) is there anything you can do that I didn't think of?

Ideas I've had:
Mentem:
You already (potentially) have the silver cord
True friend from a familiar also exists but is probably finicky and risky to utilize intentionally as a defensive
You probably don't expect to receive any positive mentem effects in a battle, so probably a strong pevi(mentem) ward is fine

Corpus:
Increasing your size puts at least puts some constraints on the spells your enemies can cast on you (+2-4:1mag, +5-7:2mags &c), I think this doesn't terminate your(corpus) self buffs as long as they were cast while you were an appropriate size(correct me if I'm wrong though)
You probably want some beneficial corpus effects while fighting(soak, bonus vs poison &c), so maybe you can use a ward that's weaker than your buffs to at least block some smaller corpus direct attacks?

Vim:
I guess if you're in an arcane connection range battle you could maybe use a reme spell that helps you focus to help with your twilight avoidance roll?(probably a death sentence in a stand up fight though)
In general, it's ok for a spell to be limited to affect a category that is more specific than it normal(ie you can make a rete spell that only effects swords to take advantage of a focus), so I wonder if you could make a ward thats more specific than (mentem) or (corpus), for example, spells that cause warping(directly, powerful/continuous spells not included), or arcane tunnels, or corpus wounding spells.
Alternatively, could you use something like revi's selectivity by caster? For example by creating pevi(vim) ward that only effects spells cast by someone else?

Fast-cast defenses (core p.83).

Take a look at Impede the Impertinent Interloper (TME p.109). Change it from instant transportation to the type of magic you want to counter. Do an Individual version rather than a Circle version if you're trying to protect one person rather than huddle a bunch of people in a protective circle. This is basically what you're suggesting with the PeVi ward.
