just append it to the winter incursion.

Am I right in thinking Lares would be capable of inventing three Level 5 PeVi might strippers, i.e. for all three realms, in one season?

His lab total is 3 int + 10 vim + 5 pe + 8 aura + 4 mt + 1 labPe + 1 labVi = 32

Yes.

@temprobe Your opening paragraph in your last post on dinner thread outlining the issues with the Provence trip made me laugh out loud! Well done! I'm still chuckling.

Well, the intention wasn't to be humoristic, but you're welcome anyway.

I've never faffed around with arcane connections or the related Vim much, so checking to make sure I've understood everything right:

If the expeditions take a stone from the covenant's vicinity or a lock of hair from an animal, the connection should last for years, so be sufficient for this purpose.

If Lares casts his Maintaining spell on the connection, he can cast everything through it at touch+ range. The rather substantial downside is that if he uses his moon-duration version, he doesn't have the power to dispel it, so if an enemy gets hold of this connection, they can kill him with impunity.

After this, communication is a matter of sponting low-level Creo (Intellego) Imaginem at touch range - producing sound and hearing should suffice.

I think you are confusing an arcane connection with an intangible tunnel- you do have the spell to open the intangible tunnel so once you have done that the rest becomes correct.

Right you are, thanks. I actually confused the maintaining spell with the tunnel, but anyhow.

Could we have an update on seasonal vis stores?

I started a worksheet on the Seasonal Task spreadsheet linked from the Libram that includes the info that Silveroak provided in January (13?).

It's a first stab at keeping a record. I'm happy to try to keep it up to day.

My thinking is that the left side shows the totals of our treasury and then the right side shows a ledger of sorts of uses, expenditures, withdrawals, deposits, etc.

Happy to give this over to someone else. Just thought it would be nice to have it all in one spreadsheet.

Yes, that would be helpful. Vis accounting should be available to the players at all time. The simplest option is just to do it ourselves, and have the gamemaster keep an eye on it. I'd prefer to be responsible for covenant finances too, but silveroak didn't seem keen on providing expense details in the past, so I'm not sure if he runs his own detailed accounting or if he fudges it according to how the story evolves.

Should I interpret this to mean there are no stray hairs anywhere in the covenant? Nice side effect of the hunger aura

I suspect striking a balance between the needs of the story and realistic hermetic accounting is a good idea.

In the table-top game I play every couple weeks, we use a broad brush when it comes to accounting for gold and costs. It's too far for an ArM game but lets us focus on story and character development.

I would much rather have Silveroak balance more toward story with the players managing the detail of the treasury. With the level of ArM knowledge in this group, that shouldn't be a problem.

Just exchanged with Whaler on Discord, and he's probably not coming back to the game.

That is sad. :frowning: He'll be missed.

Dang. It was likely at this point, I suppose, but unfortunate nonetheless.

I should have mentioned that the book on parma has written on the inside cover "do not remove from library" which I assume was followed during the winter season...

We would of course heed by such instructions. Lares also asks Winitran what the rationale behind this instruction is.

Winitran smiles "I don't know for certain, but I remember when I was a child you telling me that the register was a snake and would bite me if I took the book from the library."

Did we settle on a trip to Europe and a trip to Cairo at the same time? I thought Cairo was gonna be first? I was under the impression that Zarkut was going on both so not sure what to do now.
