OOC Chatter 0.5 (1st Ressurection)

Have to say , as a player , the use of the Lannister names , makes it hard to ignore my associations with the Song of Ice & Fire characters.

How far have you read in the series? If you've read the entire thing, then keep in mind that this is a much older Jaime Lannister, who has just lost Cersei, and suffered ignominious defeat (paralleling his capture and disfigurement from the Martin books).

40-50 years ago, the Jaime in our campaign would certainly have been capable of tossing Bran Stark out the window to protect Islamic culture, or keep his secret love affair hidden. Back then, he was certainly arrogant, impulsive and amoral (and hence, part of Rafas's Reconquista movement). In the Martin books, Jaime was a natural and peerless swordsman, and his arrogance and amorality stemmed from living a life free of challenge or consequence. His impulsive nature came from the fact that his innate talent and skill carried him through his stupidest mistakes. But what happened to him when he finally met a challenge which defeated him?

Those associations are intentional, but historical.

Okay, this is probably what I get for checking things when I get out of bed in the middle of the night (for me, anyway)...but when I saw the update on the Magic Items page, I read one of Viscaria's contributions as "TWO (2) Prodigious Pot Plants" :unamused:
