Then don't. I never said not to, my concern was with the timing of events, to be at the end of the year. Yeah, mainly because of the implications I thought it had on my character.
That Lycanthropy flaw[1] though, is costing a lot to a lot of other characters, and it's like you said, if Sinmore doesn't get confronted until after she destroys a covenant's income source, I'm failing to see how she sticks around. If Sophronia skates on this without issue, well, that's another thing altogether, but not really a concern for me. I'll continue to play her until I settle on a concept and take her through Tribunal. It appears to be plenty of room for a Bonisagus around here... I'd try out a Verditius, but I don't want to be in callen's way when/if he returns.
[1]Technically, it's not a story flaw. It has story elements and possibilities, sure.
Rhodri is a very atypical Verditius-- he was cranking out Excellent quality mundane items, and made a couple Items of Quality, but AFAIK he didn't have any plans for item enchantment.
I wonder what would happen if a Bonisagus took an apprentice from another Bonisagus....
Don't think it can happen. Ra'am's backstory where he went from Tria to Prospero was a transaction/sale. A higher ranking Bonisagus, might have a shot, but I doubt any character I bring in would be higher ranking.
Hiems and Cygna arrived at the beginning of Spring, and IIRC you were translocated by Attravere to the nearest Mercere Portal and then popped through the Redcap Network. Which reminds me-- that would have given all of the entourage one warping point.
Remember that in Hiems' first two years at the covenant he's required to provide three seasons of service to the covenant, and you probably don't want to leave them all back-to-back at the last minute.
Keep a seasonal record of your activities so that covenant service can be tracked, and so I can make sure multiple people aren't using the same resource simultaneously.
I don't know why the sagas I'm in have been blowing up the last couple days, but I'd be against a chat room except in case of something specific - like a combat or a meeting where only Arya and maybe a couple others need to be there. Definitely not for the whole troupe. And I'd like to have a chat log somewhere for reference.
Arya, don't know if you've this this Game of Thrones-related picture (totally safe-for-work, unless you work for Carrie Nation or something), but I thought you'd get a giggle out of it.
I've been fighting the flu the past few days and am pretty out of it right now. I won't likely be posting until tomorrow maybe. Take care all, and maybe spread the word to the other games, though I think we're all in on them.
Finally well again. I'm at work and will be checking out all of the threads today and try to post where I can. Thought I had pneumonia for awhile there.
Anyway, with a Bjornaer in the saga again, we no longer need a lycanthrope to tie in to Leona's plot elements, so if qc wants to ditch the story flaw in favour of being hounded constantly by some obnoxious Scottish giants, we can contrive to find a cure.
(There is one cure Cygna would know about- initiating a heartbeast. It's hard being so superior to everyone else in the Order!)
I would like to get rid of the flaw. Sinmore was built on the idea of being a crazy (but maybe not false) presumption that she was born of a legendary titan/giant. Getting rid of the flaw to become a Bjornaer though isn't IMO an improvement on the concept.
The Bjornaer comment was to prod PB to have Cygna ask Leona if there are any other ways the mystagogue might have to control or cure lycanthropy, besides initiating a Heartbeast.
Well, now that she knows that we're dealing with a lycan...oh, wait...she's known all day. Dangit. Just didn't know who it was.
I guess she would have asked Leona if she was aware that the covenant seems to have a lycanthrope of some kind, and if she has any advice on how best to deal with one, sometime that afternoon before mounting up.
So, Avengers was kind of a let-down. It was entertaining, but I was expecting it to be a lot more clever and character-driven, and a lot less explody. I had my expectations set really high because I'd been absolutely delighted with Cabin in the Woods, and then Avengers was still Joss, only with Cap & frenz to work with... and... yeah, let down.
Think I should see it this Wednesday or Thursday, or wait until it comes out on video? (only two options, basically, unless it gets held over here, because the only theater in town is one screen that only has showings five days a week, and the next closest theater is about forty minutes away)
