Piercing Shaft of Wood

If someone was to make an enchanted item based on The Piercing Shaft of Wood, where the item was a wooden javelin that was itself transformed and flew and hit the target unerringly, would the target be Personal (distance from the enchanted item ) or Voice (distance from the shafts current position to the person being hit by the javelin)?

I am thinking it is still Voice range, but am not sure.

I would think it would be based on exactly you wanted the effect to do. If you have to throw it and it just makes adjustments along the way, I would go with Personal. If it effectively transports itself over such a distance without someone needing to throw it, I would use Voice or perhaps Personal with a short but non-Momentary duration? (Which amounts to the same magnitude spell.)

R: Personal with a Rego requisite (which is already part of the spell).

The item casts the spell on itself. Part of the effect is the movement, thus the Rego req.

Tellus is right. I messed up what I meant to say. I was thinking of the guideline level for transportation, which I would make higher if it propels itself than if it needs to be projected. However, I mixed that up with the target answer, which should be Personal as Tellus said.

You might add a magnitude for 'strong movement' or some such, or base it off of Rego guidelines.
Neither is necessary though I think.
