To follow up on my original post, I've created a box for holding the shot counter tokens which you can 3D print.
It comprises a tray and lid. The lid should probably be sliced upside-down so it is self supporting. An elastic band can be used if you find it tends to slide open.
I have also made them available through Printables and Thingiverse.
