Rigid Magic and renewing a Longevity Ritual

My with my fan hat on, my thought is that a Longevity Ritual renewal must either be:

  1. A lab activity; or
  2. A special snowflake that is a unique category unto itself

It's definitely not a spell, and therefore limitations on vis usage when casting spells won't apply.

To me it's somewhat like transferring vis in the lab, its own special oddball thing that is connected to a lab activity. The thing that seems closest to me is a complex trigger for an enchanted device. The Longevity Ritual doesn't actually cease to exist when it fails, it just goes inactive and needs to be reactivated. The reactivation method is repeating just the "focus" that was devised in the lab.

So I would not apply Rigid Magic to it.
