Road to Pamplona (Spring 1234)

She might like being grabbed roughly, but there was no way Fleur was going to simply take being set aside. She attempts a quick spontaneous spell to pull the man back to her (not certain what the dice rolling, but fatiguing spont with Re:1, Co:9, Int:2 MT:7+2 gives 21+die /2 casting total. Base 3 (Move the target slowly in one direction across a surface which can support their weight), duration conc +1, range voice +2, total:10- any non-botch will succeed, unless there are aura issues...) "Excuse me, that is no way to treat a woman when you have gotten her all worked up!"

You got the formula wrong. It is Tech + Form + Stamina + Aura modifier, and a stress die.. Divide by two for a Fatiguing spont, divide by 5 for non fatiguing.
So for you, it is Re 1 + Co 9 + Sta +3, no aura modifier, Stress Die roll of url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4472158/; equals 17, total of 8. If you spend a Confidence point, your Casting Total would be 20/2 =10 and the effect you desire would succeed. A level 5 is manageable with a CT 8 though, D: Mom to just yank him back.
Which do you choose?

Lets go with the momentary effect

You yank him and he makes some kind of balance check against an ease factor of 12...
url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4472224/, Athletics 3, Dex +2, equals 10.
He falls on his ass at your feet. He looks up and gives you that goofy grin
The cloaked man is not amused. He boldly approaches you and speaks in Hermetic Latin. Go home child. You trifle in affairs far beyond your comprehension or capability. He glares at you with a cold blue fire in his eyes and a piercing gaze.

In Hermetic Latin "You are not my Parens to call me child. And this man still needs better manners." She turns and looks for another man, or perhaps one of the women...

Erik and the cloaked man take off. Then some old tough guy walks on over to you. Dat's no way to treat a lady. English Erik is a rat bastard through and through. Told my boys he's banned at the Rooster. Let me buy ya' a drink. Name's Matteu. Security consultant.

"Rat bastard? That seems a most unlikely heredity given his size. Are animal human offspring a common phenomenon around here?"

pause
What language are we using? I am presuming Latin, and in any case you were seen casting a spell. So Matteau is going to be up forward and say A young Jerbiton I presume?

"Bonisagus. I believe the Jerbitons get out more." She gives a wry smile. "And yourself? And more importantly, any idea who black and ominous was?"

He smiles. "Like I said. Name's Matteau, Security Consultant. I am a custos and consorte of Barcelona Covenant. Back in the day, the roughhousing went down at the Silver Roster all the time. I was a bouncer back then. One o' th' mooks. Since then the covenant has branched out and pushed the shady customers out to the edges of the city. Welcome to Poble Sec Barcelona. You'll never find a more wretched hive o' scum and villainy. Yvall's Tavern, the Silver Shark, the Blind Dog's House, the Obsidian Ring, the Royal Flush Gang, Samantha's Salon, there is no such thing as Fight Club, the Phantom of el Piroman, and a host of further urban legends come to life.
As for mister spooky, I...
It is best not to speak ill of the dead. Whatever task he has for Erik, 'tis for the greater good I am sure."

Fleur considers this "So does that make you scum or a villain?" she says with a playfull smile.
"Please!" Felicia jups up on the bar, glancing around to see if anyone is noticing, "Let's try for some discretion." shooting a glance at Matteau which basically says "Yes, I know how ironic that was."

Another talking cat. Great. Wonderful.
Look here gat. I ain't no scum or villain. But I ain't no gentleman neither. Now, in dis here classy joint, I know we are bending the rules a bit. But outside dose sere doors, in the mundane world at large, I need you to keep a down low on the PDA's. That is to mean "Public Displays of the Arcane". So just watch yourself.
Sheesh. I swear I've meat more'n a score o' talking cats in my lifetime. When does it ever end?
So anyway, you never told me your name, miss "of Bonisagus". Have you come to Barcelona for business or pleasure?
And don't go there  , I got you pinned already and more power t'ya. But I am on duty, see. Security Consultant.

"I'm Fleur, I was traveling with Fedora, she sent me here while she had some business to talk with someone else. Sorry about the PDA, I'm not really used to being outside the covenant."

I presume the gat is your familiar or somthin'? Tell 'er to be careful. This city is fulla wild stray animals just about her size.
Fedora, eh? Andorra Covenant? New member?

Meanwhile...
Tiana leads Fedora to the main tavern to meet with (coincidentally) Matteau, who has been assigned to escort her around the city and show her where to go and all that fun stuff .

"Very new. And Felicia is my friend, nt my familiar. At least not yet. I had to pas my gauntlet first, now I should probably get my lab set up first.."

Ah. Well, your future still looks bright. Just be careful who you get tied up with. Stick close to yer pal. She'll guide you right. I can watch out fer ya while youse are here. I'm suppose ta escort Fedora around town and stuff. An' a wizard like you...
I'm gonna take you to meet Carles

"Carles?"

Fédora enters the cantina and is led to Matteau just in time to hear the above portion of the exchange.

"A pleasure to meet you," she says once introductions are made. "I understand you are to be our escort during our stay in your charming city?"

"Fedora, I hope things went well in your meeting."

"Quite well. My son is a model apprentice and his doing his mat' proud. The portals...in fact, everything, I'm told, is well maintained and protected. Although I would certainly be remiss in my duties if I didn't verify everything with my own eyes.

"Ah well. At least I'll have something to do tomorrow. How have you fared so far?"
