Troupe is arguing about killing a Lycanthrope.
I know silver has enchanted material bonus on shapeshifter. What else?
I've never really seen any actual rules like that - most 'weakness vs x' traits seem tied to faeries, in my reading of the books.
There are no special rules about silver vs shapeshifters.
Some shapeshifters may have some vulnerability against silver, just as some may have a vulnerability against fire or iron or whatever, but in general silver doesn't do anything special against shapeshifters.
I think @lvgreen refers to the shape and materials bonus, +10 to harm lycanthropes, but there may be nothing else.
With the high material bonus, a silver Item of Quality weapon would give a bonus to attacks and damage against werewolves mostly limited by the Verditius crafter's Philosophiae. Very handy in areas with occasional outbreaks of lycanthropes.
(If the Verditius weaponsmith's Philosophiae is higher than 10, he is probably a member of the Confraternity of Roland, and won't make anything as trivial as an Item of Quality. He might make some amazing silver sword named "Wolfkiller"--sold at the bargain cost of 75p--but no simple apprentice piece.)
