When can I write an Ability Summa Q3? At a score of 5 or 6 (i.e. is it score/2 round up or down) Am away from my books at the moment, so sorry if it's written somewhere obvious!

That isn't clearly defined in the RAW, although I think there might be an example or two which shows rounding down. I can't find them right now, and I'm inclined to go with that understanding: always round down.
Also, I'm presuming you meant Level 3, not Quality 3. Quality is independent of the level of the book, unless the level of the summa is specifically lowered to increase the Quality.

Jonathan is right. It's not clearly defined.
Of course, in this case there is no need to round. In that case, if you have a score of 5 you can write up to level 2.5. Choose a level no higher than 2.5, meaning 1 or 2 but not 3.
