Ah well, so they didnt understand a word, but they got fireworks so one out of two is a pretty good time, all things considered, for a bunch of illiterate mundanes
For story purposes they got the message...
But thats for later.
There, Mariella (if she agrees, as this would give the best impact. If not, a covenfolk will do the job) casts her almighty Ball of Abysmall Flame on the (false) girl and her stake. The impressive conflagration instantly reduces it to a burning inferno.
Mariella does not actually know any Ignem spells
She can do an impressive job with perdo but Ignem is not a strong point

Yes and what message? The world has turned upside down where women rule the men. And they don't understand clearly could the sex between husband and wife be ever a rape? They think rape is when a man make sex with other one's wife by force.
And not enough the taxes the lady wants military service, too.
They will obey presumably but consider their enthusiasm.
Haven't you figured out that it has ALWAYS been thus?
They just let men THINK it's otherwise! ![]()
Within this covenant arguing agaisnt that proposal could be .....
Unhealthy
It may lead to unnusual diseases and other problems when I have researched them
If Yannick should be killed shortly he will be avenged
I do not intend to get killed...
Thanks nonetheless.
And Aldrick seems to be a man of reason and experience anyways.
I hope for the best.
Just checking something. None Bjornear shapeshifters can be effected by Corpus I believe?
Important point as it appears I have no PeAn Spells , a fact I will be rectifying ASAP just in case local shapeshifters have heartbeasts
First, don't EVER let a Bjornaer hear you referring to them as "shapeshifters"
. Heartbeasts are considered for practial purposes as parts of a Bjornaer's essential nature rather than something he/she "changes into".
That said, you are correct. Bjornaer Magi in Heartbeast form cannot be affected by either Corpus OR Mentem spells. Similary Lycanthropes, being completely reduced to animal intelligence for the duration of their transformation, cannot be targetted by Mentem, but can be targetted by Corpus spells during this period just as when they are in human form.
Hope that helps.

If they can't take the truth they should have a good parma magica ![]()
If I were you, I'd be more worried about their Bear Claws and bite which wouldn't need to bother penetrating your own Parma! ![]()
I was thinking they would need parma to survive my spells
I surmised that much.
Just some sort of intuition:
we have a witch spying through the eyes of a lot of people we are going to meet...
these clouds remind me to much of ilusionary mist-monsters...
My thought exactly
I thought it may just be a family trait , perhaps going with some unnusual bloodline
Well, I think this just proves one thing. Not everyone here's paranoid

You mean discerning a plot to infiltrate the covenant with family members loyal to a line of mysterious shapeshifters and hedgewizards isn't paranoid?
I just have faith in the Aegis to keep out most magical scrying or mind control , and prefer a simpler solution. Spies and traitors.
About the story… I can only say
I will be out of town for a little more than a week, keep posting and believe me it’s interesting to see what your theories are about what’s happening.
