I am trying to plug along the est I can, but I want to mention that I have been in and out of the hospital lately. I am on multiple antibbiotics. Just letting you guys know. But I am still here. Playing Ars Magica with all of you guys means the world to me and is what keeps me going.
Get well first.
This is a nice slow pace that allows some time for posting.
Mark see to that you get well or as I would say it â€Krya pÃ¥ digâ€. We know what is happening so that’s cool.
cool. I am back at work. I am just trying to bust ass to make up for lost time. And the meds have me a little loopy
Oh.
Sorry to hear that ![]()
What's the matter? Are you well?
Don't bother, and take care of yourself first and foremost.
Massive infection. I am on three kinds of antibiotics. I has a spiderbite that got all infected, and the doctor lanced the abscess. The next day the infection had spread like wildfire and the admitted me into the hospital and had me on antibbiotic IV's for three days.

Okaaaay... It's all-out war in your body!
Good luck, I hope everything's gonna be alright. I wouldn't want to be you at the time, this mustn't be fun.
It is not fun at all! It was a close call. If I had delayed going to the hospital, i could have died or required amputation in a very sensative area. But I am better so far. Very weak, dizzy and disoiented, bbut not dying. Like most Americans, I have no medical insurance. But the hospitals here give good care anyway, and bbill you later. It is the law that they must treat you and stabalize your condition, regardless of your ability to pay.
Good lick in recovering from that. I hate spiders , of course the spiders here are pretty much safe.
I keep finding more good reasons to keep on living in England, Free medical care, none dangerous spiders all of them good reasons to stay.
I will be in and out of hospital all the time from a week on monday but thats because I start working at one
Maybe I should retro immigrate. Faulkner is an English name after all. Think they'll take me back?
And transfer the hospital bill?
Hopefully they will forgo the bill as a charity case. Happens more often then you would think.
I will get posting again today. I had 6 hours of meetings yesterday. Nothing can suck up your time more than meetings.

I'm releived to know you're all right.
Too bad for medical insurance
Here, even with it, prices can get insane, so I can't even fathom how you're going to pay for it ![]()
But you're alive, intact, and well cared for, so at least, there's that.
Nothing can suck up your time more than meetings.
So, you're calling that "time"? And who's this meeting lady?
Ok, this is bad ![]()

Apologies for the lack of postings, I have been disorganised. Hope you recover at a reasonable Price Marko.
What price is life? MRSA is potentially lethal. I survived without any amputations or intensive surgeries. I am grateful for the quality of the medical care in America, even if the costs are astronomical.
As a proud employee of the National health service im England (well in about 12 hours) I am happy to say we have excellent medical care for free (except for the higher taxes)
. And I agree I would rather have debts than amputations.
I admit that the English medical system is a paragon of achievment as far as providing high quality care to everyone, and the US system, though high quality, is woefully inadequate at providing affordable care. However, the really poor get there care for free anyway. Cook County hospital takes care of everyone that comes in and charges nothing. It is crowded though, and a long wait unless you have a serious emergency. Shriners medical hospitals take care of all children for free. I would not feel comfortable with the excessive tax burden in Brittain, but I supposed I would be used to it if I grew uo there. At my income level and with the way I play around with things, I hardly pay any taxes at all. Which is probably the only reason I can afford to eat
I used to have mixed feelings on the NHS , then they hired me
. I will now support their quest for more money until such time as I change jobs. (My politics can indeed be bought) I used to support more bureacracy in education then I left that job and know I want my former bosses sacking .....
Overall including my pension fund I pay about 28% of my wages as Tax , however I had 6 years unemployment benefits , have free medical care in case I get ill and should have a decent pension when I retire in about 23 -30 years . Overall I am probably making a loss on the payments but If I lived in America I would have health insurance and would hope never to collect on that (Without the pension it would be nearer 23% but it's a great pension deal becasue all the other taxpayers subsidise it
. The advantage of goverment service)
Anyway in context I believe our magi are paying a similar level of taxation in seasons of effort
, Personally I advocate free health care for grogs and custos. Vis should be provided for healing rituals for those injured in battle defending the magi and covenant. And i think Longevity is a sound investment for exceptional covenfolk.
