Table talk: OOC

Theban Tribunal from what I have read so far is a very democratic tribunal and has lots of Elected offices. Queasitors are just the prosecutors/Defense Attorney/law reference clerks. The actual investigations and judgement is done by a panel of Magistrates (one of the elected offices).

Your status in tribunal is based on tokens and shards.

The tokens are earned by service to tribunal: Collecting vis from tribunal sources, Serving elected office, accusing someone of crime and getting conviction, brewing longevity potion for other mages in tribunal, Healing those in need, etc.....

shards by refusing to do your civic duty or conviction of crime or accusing someone of crime and failing to get conviction.

If you have no shards and no active longevity potion, you can petition tribunal to get your potion made for you. One mage per year is awarded their potion being made.

Good idea with the summaries. I am looking forward to the tribunal book more and more. I just hope Hermes will bring it to the far flung corners of Sweden…

Oh yeah, some interesting things about the church from TSE.

There are the white robed priests that can marry but won't advance far in the heirarchy and the black robed priests that are celibate and have chance for advancement to the priesthood.

Show me a few life signs everyone so that I know who is still here.

-Wave Wave- Just working on getting my Criamon squared away.

Meeting with the bishop seems to be over. I'll write the summary next week.

I think I will put out an add for more people... Any objections?

It will help keep the game alive.

Other ooc:
What is a shard?

Status and such in the Theban tribunal is matter of Token and Shards. Tokens are items gained for service to tribunal and is positive rep type item.

Things that can get tokens:

  1. serving in tribunal office
  2. gathering tribunal vis from vis source
  3. charging someone with hermetic crime and winning case
  4. brewing longevity potion for mage in tribunal at request of treasurer
    and similiar

Shards are the opposite:Those are signs of someone who has messed up

  1. refused to accept nomination for tribunal office (even if not elected)
  2. conviction on any sort of hermetic crime
  3. charging someone with hermetic crime who is found innocent
    etc...

Having a shard or two is not a disaster though more than that can get you kicked out of tribunal or marched. It still means you have been a bad boy or girl at some point.

Hermetic police record! Thank you for informing me on that!
It may be relevant for my character. He wants to ingratiate himself with the tribunal for his university project, so he'll have to collect tokens. And I'll have to get that book for Christmas!

The book that this saga is somewhat dependent on has yet to arrive in Sweden...

Guys, I have to bow out of this one. Time constraints and extra work and holidays and such.
I am also burned out. I am in the process of shutting down my own game (or at least putting it on hiatus).

Hi guys,

I heard you're recruiting, and I would be happy to join your saga.
I've been thinking of a couple of different concepts:

  1. A Criamon on the path of strife (perdo specialist), with a major delusion that it is his destiny to bring about the end of the world.
  2. A Merinta illusionist who's cursed with an occasional uncontrolled gender shift (man/woman).
Let me know what you think

The second one sounds good to me. The first one sounds like a fanatic that leaves you no room to adapt to other players.

Either one could work though I think the second is perhaps better.

The first might put you in conflict with your own covenant and then tribunal. I know Kalliste might have fun with the second, especially since she uses MuCo to take other sex at times.

Thanks for your feedback; I'll go with the Illusionist. Should have it ready around the weekend.

I think that my retailer has got the book so soon it is in my hands.

Hey y'all, I have about 8 or 9 Ghosts to write up for Romolo. Before I started, I wanted to see if anyone was interested in playing any of them. I have a few concepts in mind, but there is still plenty of room to add a few more! The concepts I was toying with were: A Praetorian, Venetian Criminals, Pirates ( thinking Crete ), a Wili ( Thinking a minor noblewoman of some kind ), a Moro... and perhaps someone to fit the archtypical 'Black Knight' role.

Like I said, I need a few more concepts, so ideas are always welcome!

be patient with me, I am finishing up my move this week.

We could use our parma to keep him (the Venetian) from getting scared - if that's what we want.

Do we want to take his offer? What do we want from him?

I'd prefer talking about this without the Venetian present - so pls don't make him promises before we decide.

I'd like to ask him though what we get out of it- Money?
Do we need money or aree we rich?
