If you get close to the room you can hear footsteps again.
Rollon pauses slightly to ask, he whisper to Taliha what he is going to say, a speaks clearly in the Greek he knows: «sir, are you there? May we come through?»
"Barbarians... intrude"
«She wishes you no harm.» Rollon turns and whispers to Taliha, «shall I offer him our help?»
"I would be happy to try to find his father's body though I am unsure what might allow me to do so. I don't believe I can promise success."
«We want to help find your father. Do you not want that?»
"Find father"
Rollon whispers to the maga, «he says «find father».» Then to the ghost again, «can you tell us more? anything to help us find him?»
"father … gone … mother"
«Is your mother here?»
"mother … mourns"
«Who is buried in this cave? Your mother or your father?»
There is silence.
Rollon quickly summarises what he has asked, with the responses and lacks thereof. «I hope we can look around for a while,» he says to Taliha. He quickly scans the room for any objects or exits other than the entrance wherefrom they came.
There is a door on the far wall, and within the room are a bed,, a table with a lamp, from which emits a blue glow of what seems to be a magic flame, or at least the image of a flame. At the foot of the bed is a chest.
Rollon moves as little as possible as he learns the contents of the room, then he asks into the air with a firm voice, «whose bed is it?»
"Father's"
«The bed belongs to the father,» whispers Rollon to Taliha. «Do you want me to ask more?»
"Are you sure you translated that his mother mourns correctly? Can you ask him if we may speak to his mother? Otherwise we either need more of a hint to find the father or something of truly lasting value. A piece of his body might work but since that's what he seems to want us to find I don't know how helpful that would be, given the time frame he seems to mean." Though as she says this she thinks Archimedes might be able to help, of course requiring more information.
