The Codex Gigas

The Codex Gigas is the largest illuminated medieval manuscript, and it has a colorful legend and a famous portrait of the devil in it. It was completed right around the canonical ArM5 start date, in a Czech monastery.

Has it appeared in the game anywhere? Have any of you used it in your sagas?

Codex Gigas - Wikipedia

It's where the "gigantic" option in book design comes from.

Yes, my characters used to stand on the books pages to cast rituals.

Any particular reason for that? Or just because they could?

The original has something similar.

I use it in a scenario. In this one a demon was dislocated and certain of its pieces are used to make objects by a tytalus. His skin is then use to cover a large book.
The problem is that when the demon wants his skin back, he ravages a monastery, leaving only one monk alive. In the aftermath, the mad monk writes the Codex Gigas.
