The Friendly Necromancer

A necromancer would like to provide a wood body to a friendly ghost when the ghost wants to interact with the physical world. This is temporary, once the ghost is done, he leaves the manikin.

The necromancer assumes that not every ghost has the ability to possess or inhabit a physical body. And no, he does not want to animate a skeleton as it is poor taste.

It will be an invested item, with the following effects:

  • ReHe 23: Base 10 Make a plant or thing made of plant products move with purpose and intelligence, without requiring your constant control (this is the highest effect in Herbam related to animation and seems suitable for fine motor control), self, +1 Conc, Ind. +5 maintain concentration, +3 linked trigger.
  • InMe 30, as p99 - reading the mind of the ghost to control the manikin. Considering the ghost is immaterial, should the range be increased from touch (+1), to voice (+2) ? making it a InMe 35 effect ?
  • ReMe var - the idea is to have a ward that help the ghost stay within the manikin without having to exert itself. It will have 0 Penetration so the ghost can resist the effect - it is supposed to be used only on willing ghost.

Should I add a Passing the Reign effect on the ReMe effect so the ghost can freely cancel it and leave ?
Is it over-engineered ?
Ideally, the ghost should be able to use whatever motor skills he still have instead of having to rely on Finesse, thus the InMe effect and using the ReHe based on "move with purpose and intelligence".

So it is non hermetic but if you check out Lore of the Dead, in Hooks, there are guidelines to let an object or group of object be able to interact with both the insubstantial and the "mundane".

Have you considered the MuMe25 base guideline "make a mind or spirit solid (requisite Form of the shape - Herbam in this case)"?
