The Grand Tribunal and the Hiberian invasion

make that stealth a stress roll, given the potential outcome and volatility of the situation. The spoon is tucked under his belt.

[Rerolling for the stress roll, we end up with a grand total of 14 or 8 if the stealth of 4 and dex of 2 don't apply.]

unfortunately he rolled a 23...
As you sneak up to him he shouts out in Latin "And what is this dog doing?" which draw the attention of the entire camp to Sionnach standing there in fox form about three feet away. One of the grogs replies in Latin "I believe that is a fox." and the older magus snaps, casting a crystal dart at the grog, inflicting a heavy wound.

Sionnach lets out a yelp at the crystal dart being thrown, as he sees the attention turning to him, he casts Voice of the Bjornaer magus silently and wordlessly [Technique + Form = 14, -1 stamina, +2 from the roll means I get just enough to cast it assuming no aura], then proceeds to reply to the group in Latin as well in an accusatory tone. "Well, I live here. I think a better question would be what are YOU doing here? With all the noise you're making, just about every animal around is wanting to know what this commotion is all about."

This takes by the older magus by surprise and he turns to respond "What!? Why the.." Then has to break off as the grog whom Bran made angry at him attempts to bash him over the head with a tent peg, and succeeds in giving him a moderate wound.

"I see you might be having a tense moment," Sionnach says as he backs off a little from seeing the magus get hit, inching closer to the magus ever so carefully, eyes ocasionally darting towards the spoon, hoping it falls off. "Do you have any chickens with you? I would love if we could all talk things over a nice freshly killed chicken."

Sionnach doesn't even provide a minor distraction as the magus shouts a spell at the attacking grog, flinging him away and into the air like he's been flung from a catapult. meanwhile the other grog which the magus attacked earlier throws a rock at the magus and inflicts a heavy wound.

The eagle screeches loudly from above.

It is actually casting an unseen arm on the spoon in the magus's belt, trying to rip it loose. (Penetration +9.) He can't oppose either intentional or magic resistance ... but let's see if that matters, he thinks.

As the eagle screeches the spoon slips free from the belt. The magus is too preoccupied dealing with the grogs to notice...at the moment

Assuming the loose spoon then drops, Sionnach lunges forward to grab it in his mouth, then proceeds to try and escape towards whichever direction has the least people.

Arnar tries to lift the spoon and grab it in his claw, as he rises towards the cloud cover to hide it. Then he flies towards the nearest hill to land and take stock.

OOC. Conc+Sta 13 (14 if it should be Int) to avoid dropping it before he can grab it mundanely.

The magus yells his spell at the grog throwing rocks and nothing happens, except that the grog throws another rock, delivering another major wound to the magus. The other magi seem to be arguing over what to do while Sionnach grabs the spoon and takes off as Arnar is still descending from the sky.

Not wanting to accidentally drop it, Sionnach heads towards Bran and hands him the spoon before he turns towards the road they came from to escape.

When the spoon drops the eagle rises towards the clouds, where he hides and circles back to above the foreign group to watch from cover.

Awareness+Perception Sight 15 (incl. +3 keen vision)
Stealth+Dex(?) 3 (unless human form stealth carries over, but that's only 1 anyway)

[FYI, Bran circled around them so he is to the west rather than the east where we traveled from but, I assume, the road continues further west.]

Bran takes the spoon from the fox and immediately heads south off the road fast as he can.

As you take off with the spoon the mage casts one more spell at the grog, failing again, who throws another rock and knocks the magus out. the rest of the group doesn't even see you leave.

Catching his breath at a copse of trees where he is not visible from the road he hopes the Bjornaer have followed him that they might discuss what to do now.

Arnar takes note of where Bran is heading, but keeps circling. What does the group do now that the magus is knocked out? Does he stay knocked out?

The grog is restrained by other magi, who bandage the remaining magus and begin constructing a stretcher using magic. There is discussion of some sort regarding the remaining grog and the transport of the magus, from what you can read of the gestures, before the group hurriedly moves towards the fortress, trying to arrive before dark, magically carrying the disabled magus who remains unconscious.

When the group moves on, Arnar finds the other two, lands and changes. Hopefully finding his clothes too. «Well done, you two. Brilliant collaboration.» He smiles.
