The Visitor (Spring 1235)

Now for the Red Carpet!
Roberto tries not to be too harsh on his stylist team. Clean-clean shaven. Buzz cut, little longer in thhe fron and fade on the sides. Some color touch up masking any gray.
He turns down three different outfits for being too "fishy". Though he refrains from saying so. Instead he compliments "nautical" ideas while asking for something less "ocianic". They can tell he is being polite and hates the fins and tentacle trim. He also declined to wear any shark skin items out of respect for Acutus.
The final results!
Eel skin boots. Blue, knee high, cuffed and tightly laced. Suit also of leather, in a style more like an admiral of that age rather than a merman.
He sets aside his tattered red cape. Instead, it is at this time and event that his Cerimonial Magus Robes (as mentioned on his character sheet) come into being. The secret origin revealed! Red velvet, gold trim, and various symbols embroidered in gold thread. His sigil (a seven pointed star), the Flambeau Hourglass sumbol, the Forked Dragon of the Knights of Seneca, the Cross of Saint James, the Fork of Neptune, the Firebird symbol for Ignem, the Three-Headed-Serpent-Circle which is the symbol of the Order of Hermes, and a few others that I have yet to decide upon (and more can be added latter).
Accessories. He has them make a jeweled scabbard for his sword, which he insists uponfor cerimony. And a dagger hidden in his boot because he is a paranoid Flambeau magus  . Then his gold ruby ring. Always that. A silver crucifix. A rosary worn around his wrist under his glove. Black eel skin gloves. His satchel with whatever trinkets he has in that stupid man-purse of his.

Cidito wears a white suit with a matching overcoat, boots, and gloves. And an eye-patch.

Lucas enjoys his time in Herakleion. He's aware that Roberto will not become king, and knows that's something of a wet blanket on the coming coronation. But he also knows that there's little he can do to help that situation, so he does his best not to interfere with what time Soteira and Roberto do have together right now. Instead, he enjoys the sights of the city and gets to know a few of the locals better. Generally a friendly person, he's keen to mainain some contacts here in Herakleion. His sole regret from his explorations of the city is that Cecelia is not here to share the sights with him. To make himself feel better about that, he makes certain to pick up a few souvernirs for her to enjoy upon his return.

Lucas certainly allows the tailors and others to prepare him properly for the coronation. He's absolutely thrilled to have a set of proper undersea garments made for him to wear, all the better since they're undersea formal wear. His sole addition is a small metal charm he wears pinned to his breast in the shape of the peaked cap of House Mercere. He also pays careful attention to what the ladies are wearing so that he can arrange to have something made for his wife that will match his own outfit once he gets back to the surface.

When the coronation occurs, he's cheering just as loud as any of the locals. Though he's new to Herakleion, he is completely loyal to Soteira, and welcomes the fall of Attumah.

He's impressed with her transformation, as well. It was amazing to see the outward signs of her taking up the mantle of command. But it's also good, so far as he can see. This showed that the power Leolinus had once had over the city was fading with time. Soon it would be gone for good.

IMO, this is great. This is how characters grow and become "real".

Does he talk about this with Wirth?

Wow!
Roberto is impressive, and, despite having similar tastes, the tailors have to admit that, in his own way, he looks quite charismatic. And it suits him to blend both Sea leather, Heraklian symbols, and Flambeau attire, showing his double links to Soteira and his House.

Due to his gentle gift and social skills, Lucas has no great difficulty to make friends. Especially as he is both uninvolved in Attumah's death and in favor with Soteira.
He meets up with scholars at the university, quickly befriending Vulco, head of the scholars, who shows him their depository of knowledge, written on stone tablets and leather. He visits the undersea gardens, full of strange fishes and plants, buy bizarre food and jewelry at the market, including a beautiful roman collar for Cecelia and a silvery, spiraling bracelet, and generally have no trouble enjoying himself.

For him, the tailors made a clear blue-green leathery suit, decorated with round patterns and symbols, which is both easy to move in underwater while assuring some protection, which he's supposed to wear under some kind of toga, beautiful but easy to discard, clasped at the heart, where his Mercere symbol fits nicely.

(Sorry, I wanted to write the final scene but had much work)

Roberto would like to do an inspection of the royal guard, and wants the heroic resistance fighters that saved him from a trap put on the roster. Nera?
He also has a special adress for the guards that witnessed his battle against Attumah.
Defenders of the realm! You have endured a harsh trial, and though powerful sorcery compelled you against me, your will stood strong and you did not fight for the usurper. Once the spell was broken, your wits regained, you are the ones that purged the barbarians and you are the ones who must now defend your true Queen. Nera, I give special commendation to, for without her aid I would be slain ere I could arrive. It is to her and other heroes amongst you that I am in debt, for without aid I could be of no help.
I must go now. I am a man of duty and obligations call me to land. But I am ever close and shall be in constant contact. When trouble seeks to overwhelm you and you cannot cope, call upon me. My fire and steel are pledged to your defense just as surely as my heart is pledged to my beloved, your queen.
My destiny is a mystery awaiting me, and for now thay call I must follow. But I shall return! Whence I have acquired noble title amongst my kind, I shall be worthy of being king and shall take Sotiera's hand in marriage. Until then, I am a loyal soldier the same as any of you. It would not be right for me to be king.
Fare the well good people of Heracleion! Know thee that Roberto Rodruigez the magus Flambeau is forever your champion!
Cidito yawns and makes faces and mimiks Roberto, but off to the side where only the magi and familiars will notice him.

He will talk to Wirth about his doubts and confusion, but latter while they are on their way home, and drinking wine.

Wine! Roberto wants a dozen bottles of different Herecleion wines and exotic beverages. And other souvieneers.

Aaargh!

I'm late, and you wrote this before my finale.
Let's agree that Roberto says this after it, right?

But back to the church.
Soteira has just be crowned, and her power washed upon the crowd, and beyond. All kneel before [strike]zod[/strike] her, and silence fall upon the crowd.

She exhales softly, the waters rippling in answer.
Today, I become your faithful queen. Today, you become my loyal subjects.
But none of this would have been possible without heroes, from our realm, and beyond. All of them risked their life to ensure my safety, my freedom, and my heritage.
So today, I call forth these brave heroes, men and women, humans and merfolk, to be rewarded for their service to the realm.

You see the final scene in Return of the Jedi? Picture the same thing, with a little more heroes. Servants crowd to the princess side, holding medals that she personally adorns you with. The medals are formed by 2 golden seahorses facing outward, with a blue sapphire between them.

Nera and her friend Thula, for standing strong against adversity, and providing the strong leadership our people needed
Riad, for going above and beyond what friendship asked of him, seeking the heroes we needed.
Wirth, Lucas and Acutus, who came to the help of strangers, each proving crucial in my liberation.
And, last but not least... the Hero of Herakleion. The Protector of the Realm, in deed if not in name. For fighting against all odds, and winning over tyranny, Roberto of Flambeau!
And protocol be damned, after giving you your medal, she'll kiss you right here and then.

Following fiesta!

Great speech!

Say, you do all this after the coronation and festivities, when everyone if a little sober and rested.

With Soteira having become queen, the spell has been mostly broken, or subsumed by her own power, it's difficult to say.
Noetheless, the inspection goes finely. The guards look in better shape than before, more alert, alive and happy. All those Roberto talk to express their devotion for the princess.
Of course, some are still a little confused about him. He was the one who killed their rightful ruler (Attumah), after all. But why was Attumah king anyway? It is natural, of course, but... Whatever. He is the Hero of the Realm, favored by the Queen, so this is what matters, right?
In short, it was a strange experience, reminding a little Roberto of the time when he suffered under the gift's yoke.
The reaction, of course, is quite different among the resistance fighters (who joined the guards and those who didn't, including all the peasants who lived outside the city), whether they knew him before or not. Among these, he proved to be very popular, and received all kind of propositions (from drinking to sex), from both sexes.

But among all, Roberto's rousing speech raises morale and hope, and endearing him to the troops.

I shall come back to this later.

So. Wrapping this. AT LAST!
Everyone spends a few days in the city, acclaimed as heroes. Devoid of Attumah's influence, the seas quickly clean up, fishes coming back in troves. So when you emerge from the sea, guided again by Nera to the shores of Riad's village, you are all acclaimed (again) as heroes. This night, Riad entertains his people with tales of the undersea city, of Attumah's savagery, Roberto's bravery, the might of Acutus, cunning of Wirth, resourcefulness of Lucas, and Soteira's majesty.
The voyage back home goes smoothly too, without any of the troubles that plagued you in the first place.

So, REWARDS. In bulk, for everyone:
05 free xp in Area Lore: Herakleion.
15 adventure xp
A reputation of 01 in northern Egypt as "Powerful Magi from the Sea" (Some confusion here), including Herakleion (without the "from the sea),
For Roberto, his reputation in Herakeion is subsumed by a level 2 "Protector of the Throne" (this is an average)

Coming next: Behind the scenes, spoilers and questions. If you have any, ask them now.

So, in short, what happened?

Who and why?
All begins with Leolinus.
Having been thwarted by Roberto too many times, he felt revengeful, a sentiment encouraged by his demonic masters. He felt that, whatever he was doing, Roberto was always in his way. So he decided to remove the obstacle.
How?
Leolinus is arrogant, but not stupid. He knew he couldn't face Roberto directly, as Flambeau magi are the masters of direct confrontation.
He thus tried to circumvent this, by studying his enemy's weaknesses. Be it through spies, rumors or demons, he learned about Roberto's True Love. And thus came his rough idea of a trap: Capture Soteira, and use her as a bait for Roberto.
Despite being senior to Roberto, he felt like he wasn't up to the task (I took him from novus mane, rebuild and advanced him like I do for NPCs: 30 xp/year). He wasn't powerful enough to capture the princess, he also had no way to kill Roberto one that was achieved, nor did he have allies that could do that.
So he made a lot of demonic bargains in order to gain the knowledge and power he lacked (virtue "mentored by demons", six times). It is through his tutors that he learned of Attumah, the sleeping devil of Herakleion.
Attumah?
Yes. Through a string of intermediaries, Leolinus managed to buy enough items to survive underwater. He went to Attumah's forgotten prison and freed him. The beast almost killed him there and then, but Leolinus was able to convince him and strike up a deal. Attumah alone would never be able to gain the throne of Herakleion. Leolinus could give it to him... But sooner or later, Roberto would come rescue his beloved, and Atumah would have to face him. Leolinus offered his help in all of this, explaining that Roberto was his enemy too.
The spell
Back on solid ground, Leolinus called upon his allies, spending many seasons to create his masterpiece: A ritual that would roughly duplicate "Aura of Rightful Authority", but over a whole city (boundary + 2 size), enabling him to make anyone the people's natural leader.
Of course, he didn't reveal to Attumah that this would only last one year. Not that this would change much one the beast had secured his hold on the city, though.
Once ready, he conferred with attumah, and planned carefully. Leolinus cast his Ritual, making the entire city loyal enough to Attumah to allow him to enter the city with a small force, steal King Triton's trident, and attack him by surprise, far from his guards. With the king dead, the only "legitime ruler" left was Attumah, who had no trouble bringing the city to heel, and capturing Soteira.
As the spell only encompassed the city, those outside escaped its effect, but Leolinus was arrogant enough to discard them as negligible rabble
What's the deal with Soteira?
Leolinus is crafty and cautious, and doesn't underestimate Roberto.
His first plan called to just lead Roberto into a huge trap and kill him.
But he thought maybe that would fail. Maybe Roberto would escape, maybe he would manage something to beat up the odds, whatever.
So he needed a backup plan. And what's better than having your enemy killed by the one he loves? He thus enslaved Soteira through Mentem magics: She was to be sent to the dungeons, act as normal, but, once alone with Roberto, to try to kill him at all costs when he was most vulnerable. This failed miserably, because, whatever his strengths and intelligence, Leolinus was oblivious to the power of True Love.
Riad and the messengers
Once the city secured, the next stage was in luring Roberto. He needed to ensure at least some of the messengers would reach Roberto, without the Flambeau being able to suspect something. So, using flunkies with mentem magics was out: This needed to be as genuine as possible, with someone truthfully asking for Roberto's help
Leolinus simply created enough false memories in enough villagers to ensure they'd do something.
What's the deal with Riad's adventures?
He had spend years learning about faeries, both to know how about herakleion and the merfolk, but also to find allies against Roberto. He had struck deals with some of these: They would help one of the townspeople reach Roberto, by giving him a grand adventure that would, in turn, strengthen them, especially as word of their existence reached the Order of Hermes.
This is why Riad lived all sort of "Arabian nights" adventures, in a separate story call "the quest for the fire wizard"
What's the deal with the big storm?
That was me shoehorning one of those story flaws that never come into play ^^
Since the magi were using Johan VanHalen, I figured that the sea hag had found him, and was waiting in the sea for the first opportunity to strike at him.
So, once she could, she basically expanded a lot of might in order to make his life miserable and frighten him. At worst, he'd have lost his ship but she'd have carried him to safety on some remote island. That's also why the return was peaceful: A trick, once done, ain't usually repeated.
What happened with Nera, thula and the ambassadors?
I originally planned for Leolinus to have also enslaved all the villagers in Riad's absence, with them trying to poison the magi. I just forgot it, so everything was fine on that front.
Leolinus and attumah expected Roberto's arrival. They had rotating teams for flunkies ready to answer the call, and lead the magi into a big, big ambush in which they'd have been skewered.
But remember that arrogance I spoke about before? The same merfolk Leolinus had discarded as Rabble heard the call, and their intervention foiled his main plan, allowing the magi to avoid the ambush and lead attumah and his forces on a merry goose chase.
Soteira, in the dungeons
That's Leolinus backup plan: Should Roberto somehow enter the city, have the princess in the dungeons, and watch for them. Hopefully, the magi would be trapped there and be easily killed. And at worst, this would help sell Roberto the message that he could trust the bewitched Soteira, ensuring his eventual demise at her hand. But that was Leolinus second big mistake.
Where was leolinus the whole time? Leolinus in the dungeons?
As said just above, Leolinus wanted to watch the dungeons for Roberto, but was fearful enough of the magus to avoid him at all costs.
So he used an Intangible tunnel to Soteira's spell, seeing and hearing through InIm spells, and projecting his image through CrIm.
He was, otherwise, holed up in the palace. He hoped to be able to secure an arcane connection to Roberto, but failed.
When Roberto confronted attumah, it was he that cast spells on Roberto, using the crowd's roar to hide his incantations. He tried the call to slumber, hoping to provoke a momentary slip on Roberto's part, but didn't manage to pierce his parma
What's the deal with Soteira?
She was a faerie princess. She had now assumed a new role, that of the queen, with the might that goes with it. This is further reinforced by her crown and trident.
She had 2 reasons to want to marry Roberto: Love, and her people customs (in ars meta faerie terms: it makes for more stories, and thus vitality).
I believed I've covered everything, if you have more questions, feel free to ask them!

(My post was almost eaten, but, luckily, I had been paranoid and copied it before. relief!!!)

Excellent story, Fixer. Very satisfying!

I was thinking:

4 (=6) xp in Mu
1 xp in Aq
5 xp in Me
5 xp in Leadership

What about Fortune?

I propose that Fixer be awarded Ten points of Fortune for this long complex tale. That might violate the limits we set, so I propose we break the rules.
As for XP, I am indecisive. Probably 5 towards PoF mastery. You would think I should put xp in Aquam, but I aldready caught up on that in development that took place after this
I have a bad habbit of spending Lab exposure on Arts. But I was in a push to make Roberto ready for an Apprentice by a certain age. Those exposure Aquam could have been spent elsewhere and Aquam taken here. But it is all abstract and the rules permit it, so maybe a few there that will knock off a few danglers down the line. For example, if I spend but one point on Imaginem, eight years latter his score goes from 5.5 to a solid 6.
I wanna spend xp on Mastery for spells he didn't know yet at that time , or on the Boost mastery which Lucas has not taught him yet them but will latter.
I was also thinking Parma and Single Weapon, but we have a good book and teacher he still can make use of so I don't wanna squander that.
So many considerations!

A most excellent tale indeed good sir!
And, having read your "secret message", I propose the following...
Here me out, it is a whacky idea, but it makes sense.
Roberto doesn't need the xp. I moved on and developed eight years without them. I propose they be sacrificed to instead switch some of his Virtues & Flaws around. True Love is no longer a weakness. It should be made into a Minor Virtue instead of a Major Flaw. To replace that, he should have Enemies as a Major Flaw. It makes sense. Leonidus yet lives, the Sea Hag is out there, that Sahir ally of Leonidus had an uncertain fate, guys with a grudge may still linger from his Reconquista days or the Shadow Wars, and many more.
Eh?

As for Johan, he fell out of fashion and got phased out shortly after this. His stupid flaws/restrictions combined with the perponderance of female characters just didn't work.
Maybe we can do a side story? Johan returns to Novus Mane with Wirth. The covenant no longer exists. But the pirate town thrives. And that's where he has his secret Wirth Cave.
I will run the story if you want to play Wirth. A slow story. I'll throw a sea plot back at ya
And the end result of that, maybe, could be that Johan Senior goes to Ibiza as a grog of Sa Dragonera. With Betty. These players will love those two.
And I just thought of an awesome idea!

Now as for Roberto and Wirth...

The trip back home is quite peaceful. The Sea Hag, who had been banished from the Middle Sea long ago but was able to act under the protection of Attumah, has now fled back to her home ground to plot revenge. (winkwink*).
The ship surfaced to a sunny morning sky and genle waters. With conditions like this and Johan's special skill, they would reach Ibiza in a few days. After a breakfast of fish and biscuts, Roberto spends all morning looking out at the open sea. The sea.
The sea surrounds Iberia, walled off from the rest of Europe by the mountains. A microcosm of a continent unto itself.
The sea that has ever called to him, taking him out of Castile to the Dutch coast. Then his latter adventures at sea and under it that introduced him to True Love.
The sea that surrounds his new home on Ibisa. Evissa as to say it proper. That in turn which drew him back into Hermetic life and covenant membership. Something that of 1236 has just begun a few short years ago. Journeyman, Master, service, all just a bunch of whatever.
My tower is mine. It was my home before them, it is my home with or without them. I'll play along, see how it goes. Maybe make my own covenant out of their "chapterhouse". They act like they are doing me a favor by letting me live where I already live, offering me incentives of promotion if I serve them. Bah. I will protect them because it is the right thing to do. Not because they pay me.
But it would be nice if they did pay me. I should bring that up. Pay the Journeymen some vis. I will talk to Lucas about that latter. He (at that time) is a Sa Dragonera magus like me.
He's an allright guy, that Lucas. Most wizards are wierdos. It's not just the effects of the Gift. Wizards tahe it as an excuse to be as strange as possible. Lucas seems like a regular family guy.
Wirth to. I remember first meeting him at Novus Mane and realizing he was the only one who was serious abot life. Regular family man. Didn't let the Gift keep him down.
Stupid magic is a curse sometimes. But I wouldn't have had a normal life anyway. Probably be dead in war by now. So there is that.
Where is Wirth anyway? I need to talk to him.

Hey! Has anyone seen Wirth? I need to talk to him!

Roberto arranges to meet With in his state room to dine on some smoked fish and wine. THey chat about how things went, what worked and what could have been done better. They chat about battle axes and poison daggers. They chat about old times and new developments.
Then Roberto gets to what he is thinking.
So this morning, I was looking out at the sea trying to think up some poetic crap about my life. Then I got to thinking about real life, and ended up wondering what it is like to have a normal life. Lucas is a decent stalwart normal guy. And you! You were the first magus I ever met that took it all seriously and showed me a wizard could have a normal life. And what do you both have in common? You are regular family guys.
And you just watched me throw away my once chance at family life.
I will return to wed her one day, or die trying in my attempt to make myself worthy. And I put this burden on myself. Why? If I am to succeed in becoming a stupid archmagus, it will take some time and I will need to start longevity. You know what that means? No kids. The line ends here with me.
So why? Why did I come up with all my bull$#!+ and make excuses? Cold feet? Is Roberto a coward? Is my love untue? Am I backing out?
I say thee nay!!
But the whole thing does freak me out. It would be by no means that "regular family guy" life I talked about. They don't do things the Christian way down there. I want to be married in a Catholic church. Heck, I'd even compromise and go Coptic Orthodox. But how the heck am I gonna get a BIshop too go undersea, not only to bless a wedding, but to reannoint the Queen and convert a kingdom? Yeah, it would have to go that far. Oh sure, just elope and come back Christianized and expect the people to put up with that.
I know she doesn't care, and if pressed she would even abdicate. I could never ask that of her, do that to her, or let her do that. She deserves her city and they desrve their queen. It is the right thing to do.
As for the whole Archmagus thing, that is pure vanity and hubris. More bull$#!+. It just pours outta me, like I got a CreoBullpucky spell.
If I was an Archmagus, then I would be her equal and not "Mister Queen". And it isn't just about being a man. It is about the fact that I am mtcourkenuifhg Roberto Rodruigez! It's not Roberto of House Flambeau. Flambeau is the House of Roberto! I once threw a firebomb, three towers fell and twent men dies, then it landed and went off.
Hahahahaha
A little over the top, eh? I know. I laugh at my own arrogance. But there you have it. If I am to wed a woman of power, I must have my own power independant of hers.
It's an undersea faerie kingdom down there. Let us not kid ourselves. As the meger "Journeyman" that I am, my sphere is small and I would be subsumed by their world. No more Roberto. The legendary faerie Admiral Roberto would take my place as they tell tales of me.
I need to be firmly gounded in the real world. Or the magic world, whatever. The reality that I am a part of and that is me, where I am I.
And Archmagus is the boldest strongest thing I could think of. I cannot become a mundane king, for that is forbidden. The closest equivilent in our culture I could think of was Archmagus.
Hey! What about Primus? That is kinda like a monarch too. What if I became Primus of House Flambeau?
Hahaha! I like Garus though. Don't tell anyone. The other Knights of Seneca don't like him and you know about the Murcurian hissyfit at Doissettep. But I really do like the guy. Just look at him. He is, The Most Interesting Man in the World.
What do you think about him? We never talk politics, do we? Whatever. He is our Primus and I am a loyal guy. He is old but healty, and will probably lead us for a score to come before he passes.
Not that any of this is ever going to come up winkwink*

Thank you very much for the kind compliments, guys

On the contrary, PoF Mastery is great and natural, since Roberto did cast quite a few of them, in a life-or-death situation.
Parma Magica and Single Weapon are both good bets too, as would Folk Ken.

IMO.
It is a story flaw, and a great one, since it opens up all kind of adventures from Roberto (Yeah, I have so many story seeds, but :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: )
But it is certainly not a Major one, since Soteira is now quite powerful on her own. So have it become a Minor Flaw instead.
No need for Enemies, IMO. The Sea Hag has nothing against Roberto, and Leolinus... Leolinus is free  (It was much more satisfying to use him for your True Love flaw than any new antagonist). You won him on your own

It'd better be slow :frowning:

Coming back later for Wirth's reply (being waiting on that one)

Wirth sighs heavily.

You're an idiot. My best friend, but an idiot.

He lets a long pause out, so much that it seems like he's finished, until...

Love, True Love... It goes beyond magic. Comes from God. So I figure: if He gave that to you, he's got a reason.
Maybe he wants you to convert them. Become the first Christian King in a pagan land, like Clovis in his time.
Maybe he doesn't care, and it's just a gift. Do Faerie have souls anyway?

What I know is that even True Love ain't easy. Clara complained about me and my lab. Now she helps, got better. But I want to put spells in the bond, she doesn't. Fears for her soul. She's made friend with people, she says. By writing. Familiars, autocrats, who know. Wants to visit them. I just want to train some more. But we go on. And it's fine. And I'm happy.
You should have married the lady. Go to a Christian church, marry her under God. Done. Kings and Queens are naught before him.
...
And yeah. You're an arrogant bastard. Part of your charm, I guess. No. Really, I don't understand.
But now, you're stuck. So go on. I'll help you, whatever your plans. She's too good for you for me to let you screw up.

Kids, though, that's a problem. Ed is a nice chap. You'll miss a lot.
...
Hey! I've got an idea. Marry her under God. Do some kids. Then, do whatever you think you must. And then, marry her in her city. Become her king. Problem solved.

Yeah, lots of pauses. For him, that's quite a flow of words.

:unamused:
Wirth shakes his head, but Roberto know him enough to know that he's as amused by his antics as he is dismayed.

Garus has a thing. Tremere are soldiers. We must be champions. Inspire the order. I don't care what the knights think. We need to be united, and I won't betray my liege.

Awesomeness. And you caught the retroactive foreshadowing I did there
I am starting to imagine a Garus that looks like that guy from the Doseques commercial. You might not know it thogh as it is a Yankee thing
Google "The Most Intresting Man in the World".
Anyway...
Wirth is spot on correct and I am loving it
Roberto has faith but not True Faith. He has True Love. And Wirth's suggestion to elope plants a seed in his head. As far as planting seeds for life, they have slept together more than once. But alas, we are eight years down the line and I imagine a regular correspondance and a few dates now and then. So that wouldn't work. However, as of 1242 he still is not on Longevity. And he is over 50! He has invested a lot in alternative longevity; Bronze Cord, Lab Health, and the Living Conditions of his Quarter. Which means the eloping idea is fertile ground for a future story.
So okay then. Keep True Love as a Story Flaw.
3xp for PoF, 5xp Parma, 1xp Imaginem (lots of invisibility), 2xp Single Weapon, 2xp Profession Seaman, 2xp Leadership, and the bonus lore.
Will update and post sometime soon.
Unsticking thread

Oh, he's famous, he has given birth to lots of memes!
Yeah, it is a fine picture for Garus  I can see it now

Glad you love wirth's reaction. I was very much in-character for him. This is great.
To him, Flambeau are the flame. They may be worse at war than Tremere, but they're the best warriors, the ones you send alone to face insurmountable odds. More importantly, they set a standard. Of what it is to be a fighter, to stand against the darkness, to fight for what is right, whether Tremere would fight for what profits their house.

I thought about the eloping, and that you could have a baby on the way, but I went against it. Unless you want it so, of course, it's perfectly possible.

But I'm not done with all of this. I have rough ideas for Roberto, Soteira, Herakleion, maybe even Leolinus. Your True Love, shaped as it is, is a wonderful story seed for me.

Did we (especially FIxer) ever get Fortune for this story?

I do not know. I think we forgot that step. I say 7 points.
