Another basic question about the Mysteries: Abilities & Virtues in both "Mystery books (The Mysteries Revised & Houses of Hermes: Mysteries)" are called "Mystery Virtues", right? Any particular reason why? Am I missing something key? This seems only to confuse (at least me).
Unless your troupe decides that the only way to access Mystery Virtues is trough initiations (a common choice, even I think suggested).
It just restricts who can take them, similarly to hermetic virtues.

Hi!
Thanks for the answer. I hadn't realised/recalled Hermetic Virtues encompassed Abilities, too (at least I believe that's what you're referring to, right? )!
Box on p. 37 indicates that grogs can never have Hermetic virtues and companions can have them only if they have the Gift.
Ofcourse, most of the are useless withou the Gift, so that's not a huge limitation
If you're referring to Heartbeast, Enigmatic Wisdom, and Faerie Magic the former two are Supernatural Abilities while the latter is an Arcane Ability...
