There's burger & there's burger

All my life I've thought the slang "burger" came from "hamburger" - the way 'marjans felt about newbies (you could eat 'em alive in one bite). Now, some others have suggested the term comes from "burghers" or "people from the burg"...

Has this ever been explained at all? What's your definition, oh wise OTErs?

Thanks!

That one item I have never thought about with the term in the game. But many things in the book in the 90 were only just starting to be used but are much more common in todays society.
