Towers over mugs

Golliard's eyebrow rises slightly at the refusal and counter offer. "Very well, for a season in one of our lab's we will get a season of service at a later time of our choosing. A project that should be within your means. Should this prove to be beyond your means to accomplish in one season, then you can charge at a...discounted rate for the additional seasons of work? Does this sound fair for the sudden imposition on Blackthorn?"

Björn warms to the bargaining process, waking up more as they work out the specifics. He wonders how far he can push this Golliard. "I would have one year's time from recieving a request from Blackthorn to finish a season's worth of work, adding a year for every additional season that I must spend to complete the request. For any required additional season, I am willing to charge Blackthorn... three quarters of what the going rate is for a Verditius's time." Björn's eyes dance happily as he plays the bargaining game.

Goliard sees that Bjorn is shrewd as his House's namesake. "The labs of Blackthorn and its potent aura are envied throughout Stonehenge. Do not think that these are gained without cost. I will grant you the first year before presenting a project. At the holding of the Fair that I understand you are taking part of, you will learn of what Blackthorn desires. Should it require, by your estimation, more than a Season we will pay 3/4 of a Verditius's fee for the 2nd season, 9/10ths for a third Season, and the full rate for the 4th. But we shall not wait further. Thus we shall take pains not to present a task beyond your skills." her arms cross her chest. "This is Blackthorn's offer."

Björn shrugs at Golliard. "Inform me of what Blackthorn desires at the Fair, tomorrow, or five years from now, it doesn't matter to me. I just wanted to be clear on the time frame you would expect the work to be completed once the request was made, hence the request of a year per season of work. This is not the only thing that I have to be spending my time on, so I will have to work it in between everything else." He pauses, looking shrewdly at Golliard. "Who would be supplying any vis needed for laboratory work?"

Goliard nods, the deal almost completed. "If Vis is required we would supply it. You are only using our lab and not our vis, it is your time and effort that is being bargained for. So, are we agreed?"

Björn pauses for a moment, going over their agreement in his head to see if he left anything out. Eventually he nods to Golliard. "Yes. I accept these terms, should we put it in writing?" Björn covers up a large yawn with one of his hands. "Sorry, it's been a long day."

"In the morning you can see the seneschal, he'll pen the agreement and show you the lab. As for wood, as long as it is not being claimed for other use you're welcome to a reasonable supply. Welcome to Blackthorn."

Björn nods, thanking Golliard before she walks off, and he turns in for the night. Instead of choosing a spot by the braziers, Björn walks over to the edge of the overhang where it is cooler but still dry. Brushing any bits of twig and stone off of his chosen patch of dirt, he pulls off his larger pack and uses it as a pillow as he lays down. The sounds of Blackthorn's fairground are unfamiliar, but hardly a deterrent as Björn falls quickly and soundly asleep.
