Venus blessing and MuCo

So my character is male and has venus' blessing.
I was wondering what happens when the character uses MuCo spells.

What happens if I use a MuCo spell to turn into a woman? Does he become attractive to men/women/other?
What happens if I use MuCo to get an old body? Sexy grandpa (Sean Connery)?
What happens if I MuCo into a cat? Do women get aroused by the cat? Or do cats get aroused when they see my character?
What happens if I turn into a chair???

The rule of thumb with shapeshifting is that you retain your Virtues and Flaws. But those Virtues and Flaws apply to the new form. So my answers would be:

  1. You would be attractive to those who find women attractive.
  2. Yes, like Sean Connery.
  3. Female cats would find you attractive.
  4. Female chairs find you attractive, which is probably irrelevant.

When in doubt, read the manual.

First, it doesn't say that men have women attracted to them and vice versa, it says "sexually compatible" - and, unfortunately, that's not necessarily up to the character with the virtue. So they're generally sexually attractive, to any who swing that way.

Right.

Being "sexually attractive" is more than cosmetics, more than just "looks", altho' that's part of it. If using MuCo to transform into a leper, a lot of your "sexually compatible" partners are going to get scratched off the list, that's all there is to it.

To one extent if a "straight" male were to change to a woman, their own body language, eye contact, voice and other nuances would not attract other men. However, we've already established that it's not entirely up to the character or their preferences - so since the virtue is defined as both a blessing and a curse (the flaw is just a curse, end of statement), I'd agree with most of the rest of what C said, above. If you got it, it's hard to turn it off.

Someone kinky thinks you look gorgeous? :stuck_out_tongue:

Thats the only part i potentially disagree with you Cuch, because... well, simplified "tastes differ".
Body language etc is also heavily dependent on culture and may have extremely different results outside the "home culture".

But really, likes and dislikes tend to be very individual.
And i think the comparative for this Virtue isnt body language or voice or alike, but to use a modern explanation rather pheromone compatibility. Something BEYOND such "lesser" things.
So a straight male changed to a woman with the virtue would still attract other straight males, but some would at the same ALSO be put off by mannerisms.

Oh yes, but its a rather funny one i think.

Indeed. I am creating a messenger for the covenant that has the curse (and a nasty reputation to go along with it). When she heard about it, Laura just hinted that she has catched some fancy about running the Lady Martha adventure from ToME.... :smiling_imp:

A nice scene we saw in our past saga was a Curse of venus grog in a brothel, being rejected by all the girls except for the big ugly transexual barmaid. He had to spend the night in the brothel (he had been sent by the Big Guys in the covenant to do just that after all), so the scene was quite funny... for the rest of our characters. The barmaid's mother also felt something for him.

Curse? I wasn't taling about the flaw, I was talking about the virtue (the flaw is more fun though)

(You can only start a thread, you have no real control where it goes from there.)

Well, the same grog above would have been well accepted by any of the "lightly dressed maids" in the brothel... including the transsexual ugly barmaid. And her mother as well :stuck_out_tongue: He would have been badly looked by all the males trying to awe the same maids that he selected, though. being attractive does not make you necessarily popular after all

Cheers,
Xavi

You would see a lot of bums!

"I don't know why, ever since we got that new chair in the covenant, there's always seem to be someone sitting on it..."

"Bring the comfy chair!!"

THIS.

Hey, there are ToU on this site, pal!

<turns away, offended... then sneaks another peak...>
