I don't think a major rewrite is needed. A minor rewrite yes. you could just shift 2 major elements. Have Tremere and Tytalus be British, and the creation of Ex-Miscellania is moved from Britain to Russia and central Europe.
Cherry pick from the books on Stonehenge and Transylvania the parts that are relevant to the local legends, and then just flip the covenents over.
@TheDemiGuy that is such a great point. I personally am finding the Levant quite interesting mainly because there's so much rich history to dig into. I think people focusing on the existing tribunal books will be a bit of a built in issue because they do so much of the work for the GM.
Well, the official books try to incorporate the historical landscape at the time as well as the folklore and myth of the region in their presentation. So either I use the official books, or I have to do all the research myself.
I would substantially disagree - you can use the parts of the official book and do research yourself. Many of the tribunal books are focused on a particular Realm and give others short shrift. Faith and Flame, for example is pretty light on details about regional specific Faerie entities and stories. If you want to do something in the Provencal Tribunal, you probably want to do some element of additional research.
I would not throw out the books, but for me using them as a starting point for further exploration is an important part of running or playing in a Saga.
While initially I was going to vote Provençe, since my longest running game by far takes place there, I changed it to Other.
I have enjoyed the unique character that can be found in all of the individual Tribunals. Granted some have only been short interactions taking place during a longer game. But those are even more interesting because they provide a change of pace, having to figure out how the rules and social norms are different from what you are currently used to.
I really like the Greater Alps and so wish a Source Book had been published for it to bring it in line with 5th Edition. Sadly none of my groups have ever wanted to play there.
