Attravere follows Sinmore's voice to the chamber and upon reading the carved text his eyes go wide and he mutters in his native Italian.
"Mio dio! Come impressionante. Quello che una scoperta!"
Staring unblinking at the lock of hair for a few thoughtful moments. "Che strano."
After a quick shake of the head and a wipe of the brow, Attravere remembers himself he turns to Sinmore, "Do... do you know what this means? What. we've. found?"
Without waiting for a reply, he'll turn toward the doors, "Sanno! Aequi! Rhodri! Iapetus! You have to see this!"
"I'll be right out!" Aequi absentmindedly calls back. He's a Criamon. With a riddle in front of him. That has an answer. Even better, it's interlinked, or possibly directional. I mean, a kid in a candy store couldn't be as happy and focused as him. He looks back at Llanre (unless the horse already left to join the rest of the party in the chapel) "We keep looking round and around in this house? Is the circle with the line the island and the tower? We need to go to where this circle is? Or is that the entrance point we took to get into this area? I mustn't rush... concentration and patience...ponpencation and cratience... " he continues pondering the rust drawing, absentmindedly drawing a trigonometric unit circle on the ground and marking off the degrees with squares and triangles.
The moment Aequi completes that sentence, Llanre's hoof smacks the top point of the triangle with her hoof, so hard that a chunk of rusted metal falls off her hoof.
Trying to take everything in, Rhodri says, "You were one of King Arthur's two horses. This is his final resting place. You don't want us to disturb it. How am I doing?"
Sinmore stands flabbergasted. "This...can't be the real resting place of King Arthur...can it?" she rubs her hands on the hem of her clothes as if afraid she's dirtied the room when she touched some of the walls and doors.
"This is...some kind of representation. A tableau, it must be, right?"
"Ha! Very good! Ha ha! Now I can--"Aequi interrupts himself, glancing at the deteriorating horseshoe. "That must not be comfortable. I know my sodale offered to replace it when he had the time, but would you like me to go ahead and try to remove that nasty bit now? The ground around here doesn't look like it would hurt hooves like galloping on a road would. It may not work - I have no metallurgy skills so I'm going to try to blast it off magically, but it should only affect the horseshoe, or fail all together."
((OOC: If she acquiesces, Aequi will try to spont PeTe the horseshoe off, group if possible, Ind if not. If it works after the first one, he'll blow off the others, even if it tires him out. With his apparently now usual wild screams and gestures. Pe 10 + Te 3 + Sta 2 + Loud/Wild 2 = (17 + Aura + Die Roll)/2. If she says shakes negative then it's a moot point.))
Attravere looks abashed at Rhodri's comment and mouths a silent apology to Llanre.
"Very impressive discovery. Very."
Attravere will back out of the chamber and look to Llanre.
"Good Llanre, please forgive me the crudeness of this line of inquiry, but we are here with strong purpose. Do you know of something that might help us in finding Maribus?"
"What about a demon of darkness that was being trapped in here? We haven't really found any traces/connections to it, either." Aequi inquires of Llanre. If asked for more information he'll sketchily say a very brief overview of what happened outside and point to Attravere for more information. If Attravere picks up the thread of conversation, he'll be muttering to himself again.
"One year is certainly too short a time, but is two years justification? Covenant service interrupts lab study at a greater rate than a season every two years. Assuming any additional service being above and beyond for the greater of the Covenant, it stands to reason to mitigate the loss of Covenant resource." Aequi pauses in his personal murmered tirade to briefly watch a squirrel chitter at him. "Based on hermetic Age, unlike Aislinn she's not just going to wander off and study vis - a shorter ban would have a greater impact. Done and done! Seven seasons ban, with a equivalent decrease in time for seasons spent in Covenant service above and beyond the required five outlined in the Charter. Yes! Now I should find that horse brush..."
She tilts her head to the side and quirks an eye at him. She shakes her head "no" as she turns back to the rust-drawing and places her hoof over the lower left corner (the point of the triangle with the house-shape).
Sinmore looks at the drawing again. She tilted her head this way and that as she observed it. "Pretty mare...is this a map of the grounds? Do you want us to go there?" she asks and tries to picture in her head what she saw of the grounds before entering.
((Would the triangle or other markings correspond with any of the grounds we've seen?))
Iapetus will stop in his study of the rust-drawing, as well as the tapestry, and whatever else caught his eye to cause such delay in him. Stepping in, the Spaniard takes a look around the tomb, taking in first the carvings of battle and the crucifix. Then he turns his attention to the tomb, reading over the inscription. He lowers his head a moment, as if in prayer, though he mutters no words; Then the Tytalus turns again, heading back out into the Hallway. "You are becoming a more impressive lady by the moment, lovely mare," he says, careful not to use her name that he would not butcher it accidentally.
...Moving along. The staircase leads up to a bunch of private quarters, in which nothing interesting is found. Does anyone want to investigate the double doors at the end of the hall, or leave it?
Aequi spots another regio level on the shore of the island.
