1221.2 March of the Primi

Alexei speaks up hurriedly. "Pardon Sodale, will the Primus be travelling the same way you are? I think more...normal means through our gate would both be more suited for her esteemed status. Plus we intend to do some reconfiguring of that lab area shortly, which might prevent the mode you have been using."

Fieltarn raised one eyebrow after another in the last few minutes, while silently listening to his dining companions.
Appolodorus is-- was a Tremere? is he that old? And of course there's always one to blabler everything to the nosy guest...

Fieltarns pondered intervening on behalf of Apollodorus, but he half missed the occasion from his own surprise at what he learned there tonight, as from last instant hesitation at correcting what he's been considering so far as an "elder" member of his very new covenant.

Once Tria has left the room, he rises slowly, thoughftul.
" My thanks again for the invitation Korvin. This was a very... enlightening diner. I just hope that Apollodorus will not regret having missed the occasion to share his personal whereabouts with Tria himself. My good night to you all Sodales."

"Appolodorus has allowed the Archmage to use his person Hermatic portal from Valnastium to his pied-à-terre in Autun. she will not be coming via a cave. While we are on the subject... Alexei, could you organize an honor guard, as-it-were, to welcome Murion and escort her from Autun to our Covenant?"

"Reconfigure the lab as you like, but there's little you can do about the way I enter, short of sealing the cave entrance, and even then... I could come through the chess game. Really, this regio is like piece of fine Alpine cheese. I wouldn't be too concerned about this, as I believe I'm the only Magus with this particular gift. And your Aegis is sufficient in size and might to block reasonably powerful creatures who might wander in. I would, however, consider increasing the power of the Aegis to at least 6th magnitude." This is a reminder to the players, that the current Aegis is 7th magnitude total, but 15 levels are devoted to covering the entirety of the summit of Mont Beuvray, in addition to the portions on the magical side of the regio.

Korven excuses himself with Tria.

"A moment of your time if you do not mind...Would you mind some company on your journey to Cunfin? I find that I must talk to Évrard De Tours and it would be best to do it in person."

"I would love some company. I'm assuming, that having acted as a Redcap on occasion that you are accustomed to travelling lightly, without an entourage, and roughing it?"

"Yes. Some of us rather enjoy roughing it."

Alexei scowls at the cavalier comment about Tria's coming and going with ease through their Aegis and lands but then at Korvin's request he performs a formal bow. "It would be my pleasure to provide a guard for the Primus of the esteemed House Bonisagus. If there is a steward for the Arch Magus who I should consult I would like to know his name that I might send a letter to him and make proper arrangements."

"I thought you'd never ask,"Jormungand replies with a twinkle. Standing from the table, he bows to his covenmates. "It was a very pleasurable meal and conversation, sodales. If you will excuse me."

Now we throw up the Sensual Aura, and the Sounds of the Enclosed Room for privacy, is she agrees, and let's see how memorable of a night I can make it.

Pre 3 + Pheromones 1 + Venus's Blessing 3 + Carouse 4 + Sex 1 + Sensual Aura 3 + 1d10.extra(10)=14 ((what? WHAT? did I seriously just almost botch? This is an affront to his dignity. I know this isn't really a critical situation, but he would burn a Confidence Point - if he's not allowed please subtact it back out)) Confidence pt 3 = 18.

Confidence point is unspent, she was willing after all. And it's not as if Jormungand was her first. The pair gets very little sleep, however.

After the meeting, when Ulrich is alone with Korvin, the young apprentice has so very many questions that occurred to him during the meeting, things that he feels like he should know but doesn't, things that everyone else in the room takes for granted that they know.

  • What's a Lotharingian?
  • Who's Evard de Tours?
  • Why would he, or any/all of the Mercere for that matter, want to move to Autun?
  • Why would they want to make a new Tribunal?
  • Are Jormungand and my dominae...?
  • Do you think that maybe someday I can travel from one place to another the same way Tria does? Maybe not through caves, but through trees, maybe?

Tria says hastily, seeming a bit impatient to get on (yeah, I went there) with the rest of her evening, "The time for letters is past, the will be here in a fortnight. And I'm the one to make all arrangements with. Send runners to Cunfin, if something is important, or await my return in 10 days time and we'll sort out the details then."

Korvin leaves detailed instructions with various grogs/stewards/servants for preparation of the Archmage's arrival.

He makes sure Ulrich is ready to travel in the morning.

Tria is up and ready before the sun is up. She has a walking stick, and is dressed in brown cowl, with the hood covering her face an making her appear masculine from a distance.

Korvin and Ulrich are waiting for her in the Entry Hall. Korvin is dressed as a traveling Redcap and has a travel bag with him. He is wearing a sword.

Ulrich is dressed in his normal tunic and trousers, with a walking stick.

((No  Korvin is dressed like a Redcap))

Fixed

I was incorrect about the distance to Cunfin. It will be a 4 day journey, it's nearly a hundred miles, for some reason I was thinking it was 50. Regardless it needs to happen.
"The weather appears to be pleasant for a walk. I wish Ra'am were here, and he could tell me if the weather will hold. So Ulrich, tell me about your studies, I saw you at Tribunal, but I was much too busy to talk with you."

I'll advance the story, if anyone wants to talk to Tria, let me know, or ask questions, and they will have happened during the journey.

Arriving at Cunfin everyone is immediately struck by the power of the Dominion. Approaching the abbey everything becomes filled with bright light, and you feel as if you have a need to confess your sins to God, despite your own personal beliefs.
"Korvin, since you're dressed as a Redcap, you should probably be the one to speak for us with the least amount of suspicion and mistrust, ask for Brother Eligius, when we arrive at the abbey. He's the prior."
