Mixing butter and meat is allowed? Is butter the exception?

"...Okay fine! With olive oil then!"

Will Jacques get a +1 size lab or will it be a normal ( -3) lab to start?

I had forgotten that I had already fixed the Arcane Connections in Summer 1222, so I need something else to do that winter. I have two options.

One is to invent my version of Furnishing the Empty Room, but I get a different level than qcipher did.

Fiona's Lab Total is Cr 6 + He 10 + Int 1 + Magic Theory 6 + Aura 5 + Lab General Quality 1 + Lab Herbam Specialization (from Idyllic Surroundings) 1 + Inventive Genius 3 = 33. If she Experiments, then her bonus from IG is 6, giving her a Lab Total of 36 + simple die roll.

The other option is doing something with my Familiar. He already speaks, and I'm drawing a blank on what to do with him atm except for trying to teach him Magic Theory so he can help in the lab.

What thinkest you?

Teach your familiar to read, so he can read the MT summae on his own.

Can Paul read, too? Or read Greek? Or does he just speak?

Also - for Fiona's Exposure Experience for Winter 1221 (when she was working with Jormungand on her longevity potion), can she take those in Charm to reflect the flirting?

Exactly.

MuCo(An) spells, like all other hermetic spells, don't naturally end until their duration expires, so a spell to change yourself into a bird would, like curse of circe, not end prematurely because you will it so.
The exception being these spells, designed with a material component that can be shed. On the other hand, if you don't have the component, you can't cast the spell.

No, Paul cannot read, and he doesn't actually speak/know Latin, Welsh It's the power that owls normally have.

So it should know Latin at Fiona's score, but it does still need to get an Artes Liberales score of 1 before it is literate.

It knows any language Fiona knows at the moment of binding, at the scores Fiona has.

So, that would be Scots Gaelic 5, Latin 5, and French 2 (if anyone's keeping track  )

It seems Alexei is being rather obtuse...which I think is kind acute.

Well looking at it literally, the copy of a copy was implied rather than explicit.

Alexei is not so much a details type, I hope that comes through. Action! That's his type!

I recently watched A Fish Called Wanda again (one of my favs) and I think Alexei bears more than a few similarities with Otto.

I have thought this many, many times.

I'm picking up my own apprentice so I can not take him.

I will not able to trade Co as I will be spending 50 in the spring and now another 4 in the summer.

But Korvin doesn't know about the 4 in the summer when this happens.

In any event it's a short term visflow issue related to doling out the annual vis stores collected...note this needs to happen in the council meeting, too...

It is why I asked what was happening in with the vis in the Council thread.

Is it 1 pawn per five points of the lab total, or of the Bonding Level? The formula doesn't say, but the text says "This costs one pawn of vis for every five points or fraction thereof of the level." I was thinking that would be five pawns since it says "level" (as in "bonding level") and not total (as in "lab total").

((edit - MetaCreator says nine pawns, too...so I guess I'm misreading the thingie.))

Great googoly moogoly, lad! What in the sam hill are you doing that's going to cost fifty pawns of Corpus?!?
