Flight of the Firebird, MuIg(Re) 30
R: Voice, D: Conc, T: Ind
Turns a fire up to the size of a large campfire into a bird. The bird is about the size of a crow, or smaller if the fire was smaller. Its apperarance depends heavily on the caster's sigil but there is typically an abundance of reddish and yellowish color to its plumage.
The caster can command the bird to fly to anywhere within eyesight or any place he knows the bird will be able to see from the air (within the scope of typical avian intelligence to identify).
Once the bird touches down at its intended destination, is slain, or concentration ceases, it resumes its original fiery form.
Czera of Tremere invented this spell for use in harrassment operations and as simple artillery for use in sieges.
Base 10, +2 Voice, +1 Conc, +1 requisite adds to effect
I didn't really know what to use for a base; MuIg has 5 to "transform fire to another natural element", but...
Opinions?
I've no book in front of me to look at exisitng guidlines to help suggest a base level for you, but from just reading you post, if changing a fire to water or sand is base 5 it seems reasonable that changing into a bird could be accomplished at base 10.
One thing that you clearly forgot was the animal requisite (this one is necessary for the spell so it won't adjust level).
Uh, yeah, obviously there was supposed to be an Animal requisite, yes.
Hm, this spell might take a bit more to cast than I envisioned at first. Oh well.

Czera of Tremere invented this spell for use in harrassment operations and as simple artillery for use in sieges. Using his talisman as an extention of himself, he was able to turn the fire into the bird without harm to himself.
Angelus of Tremere, Czera's good friend, were one trapped into a fiery blaze. Together, they were able to turn the fire into a Pheonix the size of a small house that ravaged the ennemies armies.
Base 4, +1 Touch, +1 Diameter, +1 Rego requisite adds to effect, an rq. free)
Since the fire remains fire, the base 4 is suitable since it merely renders fire completely unnatural.
Hmm, I don't know... I was thinking of a complete fire->animal transformation. A fire can't normally fly or see things far away on its own. Besides, I didn't want a bird that sheds light or is immediately identifiable as unnatural, that'd make the spell less subtle. But your version is also doable, of course.
That'd require a level increase from basic Individual, I think. With your version it may be well worth it, of course.
To act as an animal, I added the animal rq. This allow the fire animal to see & hunt on it's own... for two minutes.
Angelus can wizard boost Czera's spell to affect a bigger target without requiring Czera to invent a spell that has the inner power to do so imbedded into the spell (+1 magnetude for size). That's what MuVi is all about...
