I say 7 points for everyone. Nd whatever my ward, I want to give point over to Peregrine and one to IBT, then the rest to Silveroak.
As for when to set part two, I figure 1243. The Flambeau convoction, wherever it is to be held, will take place no sooner than Summer tht year and will probably be set about winter 44. So pick a spot and I will pick another a bit after that season for my thing.
Let us figure all that out in the TT-Development thred, so we are in synch as for when to up date through.
Roberto bow his head in a gesture of respect and gratitude to Santiago. [color=red]Muchas gracias mi tio. I am recovering well. My eye is healed and the cut on my leg brely left a scar. The ribs will heal. I cast a spell off stage to aid in recovery.I do not want to waste the vis if the situation is not dire. I am planning a vacation to Heracleion next season. Get some rest and heal, spend quality time with Sotiera.
They don't have a Mercurian temple, but they do have a Church of Posideon. Kinda spooky, being an active pgan temple and all. But it is n equisite work of art, and the congrigation are all triton merefolk. And my girlfriend is a hot meremaid queen.
Life is good. 8)
But anyways, are you sure this is the only Mercury temple left intact? My erly days were sent at Novus Mane on the Dutch coast. That place used to be a temple. But then again, it was a ruin restored by magic in the early days of the Order, and had again fllen into disrepair by the time we went there and revived it.
Doissiettep. The covenant I never spell the same wy twice in a row. I was told one of their secret properties is a fully intact Mercury temple. Someone else told me that was a lie but didn't explain, so maybe it was another restortion job?
I have been to North Africa twice before. I should study the place better. I will be glad to shre what I do know, and lend my talents to the effort.
What is it you seek to find there? I am sure it will have strong aura, and it will be a great treaure of the arts of antiquity. These are both great things, and certainly worth competing for.
But the situation in Paris took things to another level, and I have feeling there is something deeper.
My master was a conspiracy nut. I'm not going to get into all that. But mine is the Lineage of Delendos. He is of the line of Delendar, either directly (as it states in F&F), or through "Reculed" aka Flambeau.
And Delendar was a Mercurian. So whichever way you look at it, Mercurian magic is the source and origin of my own arcane knowledge. It is probably the root of my talents in Spell Mastery.
I have no cult interests and I am not into paganism. Incantations don't bother me since they re but metaphors. But I have learned there are advantages to being quiet.
Another spell mastery secret. The Mercurins were Masters of their spells nd rituals! I want to enhance my talents.
See, in my conflict with Cassius, he multi fast-casted spells at me! That is a unique talent I thought impossible. I need to learn to counter that and surpass it.
Does this research have anything to do with this? Or is that another tangent?
What magicl secrets fo you hope to gain from the temple?
The more information I have about wht I m getting into, the better I can prepare myself.
"Quite simply," Flavia replies, "I have no idea what to expect there. But I'm hoping that some of the knowledge of Mercurian Magic lost to this very day will be recovered. I know several secrets preserved by the Cult of Mercury, but even so, I'm aware that there is so much knowledge that remains buried. New spells, new masteries, new rituals, perhaps even aspects of hermetic understanding that run counter to what we accept as truth."
"I can't speak as to whether or not there might be another temple to the Cult of Mercury still functioning. Perhaps there is. And perhaps someone has knowledge of Mercurian magic that they've kept hidden all these years. Perhaps that's the kind of knowledge Cassius used. I can only speak of what's known to the Order in general. And to the Order in general, a tremendous amount of knowledge about the Cult of Mercury remains lost. Will this temple contain some of that lost knowledge? I hope so. Clearly Darius hopes so too. But the only way to know for certain is to go there and explore it."
"I want this knowledge to benefit the Order. You know that as a Bonisagus, I'll share any knowledge I find - I'm required to by the Code. Can you say the same about Darius? I fear that if he gets there first, he'll take the knowledge and use it to his own ends. Perhaps he has such knowledge already that he keeps to himself and his cronies, and seeks more. But he and I are working solely on supposition. No one, to my knowledge, has been to this temple in centuries. We'll only know what treasures the temple contains when we get there and look around."
