  1. Looking at looms, they appear to be mostly wood. Sybilla plans on crafting herself an Excellent loom, to provide bonuses to Weaving. How long would that take? She can use her Craft: Carpentry for this? As she has no money she has to ask Lucio (or Gloriana to ask Lucio) for such a disbursement, yes?

  2. Bit circular: can Sybilla craft herself Excellent tools for Craft: Carpentry with her Craft: Blacksmith? She would have to raise that a bit, though.

  3. There are Workshop Manuals in the library: are these generally available to be used? I don’t think I have read anyone check them out. Both Edith and Adriana have contributed +5 Manuals on Weaving, is there any in-game difference? These would be useful for any Weaving activity?

  4. Both Adriana and Edith have authored Wise Woman Lore tractatus, are these generally available to members of the group, or are these jealously guarded? I guess my follow-up question is what’s the group dynamic? Are Edith and Adriana the queens and everyone else must bow and beg for their aid and instruction (they are both Proud)? Are they both more or less equal in standing? They have not developed more Initiations, have they, at least that they have shared? Is Sybilla tolerated, well-liked or mostly ignored by these Weavers?

More generally, are those that undergo Initiation into Mysteries considered versed in the details of the Script, so that they are considered to know it, i.e., that they may write it down, or serve as Mystagogues for others?

1 season, the cost is not signifigant for a loom, even one made with high quality woods. Technically Syblia does get wages at 3/5 of a pound of silver per year. This can easily cover the cost of the loom materials, or a labor point from the carpentry budget could manage this.

    It could be done though whether it could be done with blacksmithing or would require toolmaking is a bit of a rules kludge- I would probably allow either for carpentry.

They generally get used when they are weaving wonderous items to boost their capabilities. I've never documented them being taken out in the past but will be sure to do so from now on.

The books are held by their authors, and you must request their usage. The weavers share fairly well between themselves, Syblia is well considered but not really considered part of the group. On the other hand she aids a real magus in her lab, so it is unlikely the group would deny her access to any reading materials they are not using themselves.

  4. syblia does not have the initiation Script, but if she can explain to Adriana why she wants it she would allow her to copy it- Adrianna is concerned with the secrets being allowed outside of the tradition, but would welcome Syblia showing more interest in her development as a Wise Woman. Right now they are trying to develop their understanding of Wise Woman Lore to be able to develop an Initiation script from scratch.

Can she cast a CrCo ritual on herself, or does the illness knock her out of any spell casting? If not, she will require someone with Medicine to aid her.

Also, someone else will have to cast the Aegis, and she will not be available to cast crisis resolving spells herself. Season wasted!

Benedito rolled a 9 for medical assistance, with int:2, medicine:10, which makes the roll by- a significant margin, giving Gloriana a +10 to survive the crisis. Remember that she will need to re-apply her longevity ritual (or do a new on) after the crisis passes, and will still have gained the decrepitude from the crisis.

I don't think she has a Longevity Ritual. If she did, she wouldn't need to worry about surviving! From the last paragraph of pg 168

In case you wondering, this wonderful feature isn't mentioned under Longevity Rituals or Crisis. When I was looking for it I thought I had misremembered until I stumbled across it.

This is why its dangerous to go without a Longevity Ritual even if you have absurd aging bonuses.

As QPaC notes, Gloriana has not created her Longevity Ritual, foolishly hoping to achieve a Breakthru before enacting it. Her Stamina roll: _: 1D10 = [10] = 10, :unamused: well, here goes nothing! _: 1D10 = [1] = 1 , no botch, she survives! (+5 Sta + 10 Medicine vs 6). Poor Evangalos Potter.

Raz is basically a street rat turned criminal. Abandoned by her parents at an early age, and forced to survive on her own she has picked up a smattering of tricks. Her saving grace was learning how to get premonitions of danger. Her premonitions don't always work, but its enough that a robin-hood type criminal is willing to use her. She makes a decent leader of a pack of thugs too although she's only done that rarely. She's heard vague distorted stories of an order of magi. She thinks it would be amazing if a handsome, rich, powerful wizard took her in and made her his apprentice, but she knows things like that don't happen in the real world. Or at least almost never...

P.S. The council did pay for Markus's longevity ritual right? If not Anna can trade her technique vis at 1:1 for vim or corpus, right?
