Oliverius's math included +1 intricate work instead of +2 group. The unlimited uses means you don't need to manipulate a group of things. A level 20 item he considers within his apprentices skill. 25 levels also goes over his expected budget- though the Master didn't originally tell Arduino about that. He'll pull his apprentice aside to give him a short lesson on Hermetic Mercantilism and Verditius Politics.
Arduino doesn't listen to the short lesson at all, he is too enthralled by the cleverness of his master regarding the design of magic items.
(I edited the stick)
Since level 35 effects do not cause warping, the spell is pointless.
Yes I know, I have posted the spell before I realize that.
Acquisition of Eager Eyes (ReTe 42)
With but a thought, this magical sack steals a chosen metallic item within caster's sight (and 50 yards) and deposits it neatly into the enchanted sack, with +38 penetration.
(Base 4, +1 teleportation range, +3 Sight; +3 thought trigger, +19 penetration)
Sadly, this is the best Oliverius could do with an item he didn't enchant himself. Experimenting isn't worth it.. Breaking this up over two seasons would add a sixth pawn of vis to spend, and give it MUCH higher penetration. But that's spending a full season just to add an extra pawn and a half of vis-value.
Drums of the Avaricious Earth InTe(Im) 25
A series of six polished brass and bronze drums of differing size, all connected by bronze chain into a circular ring. By beating the drums and focusing on a precious metal, the drums can detect deposits of that metal nearby. The differing sizes of drums can detect to different distances, making it eaiser to locate closer or further deposits. If the drums detect the metal, it creates an echo in that direction.
(Base 2, +1 Conc, +3 Hearing +1 imaginem for easier direction detection; +10 unlimited uses)
considering that is enough penetration to snatch an item from a cardinal (-15 penetration) inside a level 7 dominion aura, he will be quite pleased with the sack.
A proposed power for Ibis.
Once granted to Mercurio, he will not suffer warping from Covenant's high aura.
GRANT THE UNSEEN WINGS
5 points, Init -12 +1 Round of Preparation, Mentem
R: Touch D: Mom T: Ind, Ritual
As Grant (Minor virtue) in RoP: Magic p.39. The target gains the Personal Power (Soar on Unseen Wings), as the spell in Aurthor’s grimoire. To activate the power until sunrise/sunset one fatigue level must be expended.
Ritual Power (No Hermetic Equivalent)
It will require Ibis spending either 5 might or 5 confidence to grant this, and cost Mercurio 1 fatigue to activate it.
Yes.
For approval:
In 1127, Gloriana invents Minor Ward Against Magic Warriors, ReCo 10, R:Personal, D:Conc T: Ind, this protects her from attacks by Corpus based creatures from the Magic Realm of might 10 or less (provided the spell penetrates).
She then proceeds to invent a higher level spell, Ward Against Giants of Myth, this is ReCo20, same parameters and limitation (simply had Lab total to spare while inventing some spells from Lab Texts, so she came up with these, and frankly, they are long overdue, due to her Imbued with Corpus virtue)
I thought I had already posted this, but Anna's 1127 spell, it is taken almost exactly from the book example: Purification of the Festering Wounds. The base is one less and the bonus is three less.
Lesser Purification of Wounds - CrCo 15
R: Touch D: Moon T: Ind
The target gains a +6 bonus to Recovery rolls to recover from injuries or diseases, as long as he has been under the influence of this spell for the whole of the recovery interval. The recovery interval is counted from the time that the spell is cast; any previous time is ignored.
Base 3 +1 Touch +3 Moon
And another spell Anna plans on inventing:
Lesser Cutting Gust - MuAu(Cr) - 25
R: Sight D: Mom T: Ind
This spell creates a single magical gust of wind. The wind cuts and tears at those caught within, inflicting +5 damage. The wind can be up to 100 paces across.
Base 5 + 3 sight + 1 req
Inspired by Talons of Wind. Well armored troops should be able to mostly survive it without serious wounds, but it can be cast at sight range, which leaves plenty of time to whittle them away.
talons of the wind transforms the air to become more abrasive (like a sandstorm), this would need to be part of the effect for this to be a Mu spell. Also with the req being creo instead of rego the spell will not protect the caster or anyone else within its area of effect... also with duration moment it will only have an effect for a single attack...
Can I assume this power was used to grant Mercurio the appropriate powers, and saving him from aura-warping?
yes, I believe that has been done.
Yes, it was.
How much warping did this inflict apon the poor young lad? Just the one for powerful spell?
As it turns out, none. a major virtue would have given a point of warping, but for a minor the enhancement is warping free...
For Verditius orders 1127/1128:
Amulet of the Dark Knight CrTe(An) 32
R: Touch, D: Sun, T: Indiv
A necklace of flat golden link chain with three jet stones that seem to be melded into the metal itself. When worn, and the command word spoken(protego!), the person wearing it is suddenly garbed in a full suit of chain mail armor, including padding and gambeson. The armor itself is almost unadorned, although when it first appears, it issues an acrid metallic smoke, tasting like iron, due to Oliverius's wizard sigil. it was designed with +2 penetration, to allow the user to interact with low levels of magic resistance.
(Base 5, +1 touch, +2 sun, +2 elaborate construction; +1 2 uses/day, +1 penetration.)
I hate to ask this question, because I dread the answer. Do I need to add any magnitudes to have it appear worn by the user? Due to requisets, I get stuck at 66 lab total without experimenting.
Shatter the Ill-Fated Blade
PeTe 25+
R: Voice D: Mom T: Indiv
A bracer of forged iron, with soft leather backing, inscribed with bolts of lightning and images of fiery staves. Gesturing with that arm at a weapon and calling out the command word (range voice) will shatter an enemies weapon or shield. Acrid metallic smoke comes from the shattered items.
(Base 5, +2 voice; +10 unlimited uses, because obviously)
This is a rather boring little item for Oliverius, and he can add a lot more bells and whistles onto it if the purchaser is able to front the vis for it. Olierius would suggest either penetration, or shattering all the metal a target is wearing, or both.
On the amulet, no, there is no need to add magnitudes to have it appear on the person.
Regarding the blade shattering- they will opt for greater penetration, and have up to 24 vis to spend.

I can make that Amulet for armoring without any further work... and I think I'll give it 3 uses per day just because I can. 4 pawns spent, 12 pawns cost to the buyer.
I'll do a quick numbers run on the blade-breaker. I think I can hit 80 without issue on the item, giving it +30 penetration, but that would still be only 4 pawns spent/12 pawns cost. In an effort for Oliverius to build up his reputation as an honest-dealer for vis costs, he is going to cite that as the cost he can do in the time he has for this project.
