Flam winter 1202 the Foundling

The MuCo didn't require roll or fatigue so she could've had it too, if she doesn't object cause Bjornaer.

Nix would instead of trying to climb up with the claws she would take off her dress and tossed it up to them "Catch this would you" She called up before shifting into a much smaller arctic fox as she went to use her heart beasts much more natural agility to get up and claws to get her up as she took a little dash before working to climb up it) (9 dex/ath, 12 if good jumper applies)

The foxes claws do not dig into the ice like the full sized human/bird hybrid claws, but between the handholds (and footholds) the previous climber had created and her jumping ability the fox manages to make it up the cliff without falling.
At th top of the ice is a large cavern which seems like a dome of ice by itself, with a soft light blue light with no apparent source filling the space. There is a suggestion of whispers in what sounds like a wind you do not feel.

Hugh tries to listen, but after a moment he gives up on mundane means, and uses Imaginem magic to enhance his own hearing.

With your enhanced hearing you can make out 30 to 40 distinct voices, each of them sounding like they have been echoed through some impossible hybridization of ice and tin that gives them a very distinctive sound. Some are complaining about the cold, others appear to be calling out names of people they seem to be searching for or striving to reach- it is hard to tell from hearing them which it could be.

Hugh whispers, "They're voices. Dozens of voices. Can you see ghosts? Spirits?" He will look at the edges of the cave, looking for any openings or even just features of the wall.

As you walk to the edge of the chamber you notice that the walls are a pure ice, so pure and clear that they are actually glowing, very faintly, with the blue light, and the encased in the ice of the wall are people. As you move towards one a single voice rises above the others, so clear that everyone can make it out "They are still alive, you know." It sounds like a young girl's voice.

She looked to hugh and shook her head lightly at the questions as she followed quietly behind Hugh, looking through the ice and then back to alva "...oh heavens above...why...why would they do this?" She tried to keep her voice quiet

"They are waiting. They are frozen in the ice, unaging, without need for food or drink, waiting for their loved ones to return from the Drottnig's estate, because they could not move on from this room. Some have been waiting a very long time, some will wait forever."

"They're the people that couldn't find their way on to Drottning... I think we're almost there. Oh voice, do you have a name? A challenge? A riddle?"

"I have no riddle, the choice is yours, you may return, or risk the ice. If your love is strong enough to melt your way through, then you will be at the estate of the Drottning herself, the queen of ice. Some have made it through the ice, others remain stuck here."

"Our love? ...I see." Hugh looks at the other two worriedly, then casts a spell, using a booming voice and exaggerated gestures.

The spell reveals a path to the next faerie regio- right through a wall of ice at one end of the cavern.

Hugh points at the path he sees. "Right there. We have to walk into the ice."

[Can he discern anything about what allows one to pass through or not get stuck in the ice?]

Apparently you need to melt the ice.

Hugh says, "We have to melt our way through. Sionnacliste, will you help me transform to molten stone? You've never seen that before, have you?"

Strong love would need to be personal- something like a true love/true friend type bond, or a parent's love for a child. She can't recall other examples at the moment.

Hugh has a brief conversation with his familiar in his native language, then nods and begins to cast, his voice booming again and his gestures elaborate as he touches the cave wall.

The wall drips water as it starts to melt, but as your spell ends it freezes back over. Your familiar chitters at you "Well we know the concept works now. Increase duration? Power? Both? Go ahead and borrow fatigue this time if you need to, but we'll need to rest on the other side of this."

"...Well that is a very....resilient ice wall...you can do it Hugh!"
