I agree with silveroak. The wizard's war is "i can do what i want"; it may be to show that I have the higher ground and you have to stop to pester me; it may be to deprieve you of all your belongings but in my great mercy i let you have your life; it may be I send you to twilight for the rest of the time; it may be I kill you. And if my tribunal has no rule that dead magi are still protected by the code by being still magi, I can also summon your ghost and torment you for the rest of my life.
