Golden Orange Tree of the Hesperides
This potted orange tree was reputed to have been grown from one of the seeds of the original golden 'apple' (actually an orange) that began the Trojan War. Legend has it that the original fruit had six pips, each of which sprouted into a fruit-bearing tree. This tree grows well in any climate, even that of the chilly Scottish moors, and bears fruit every winter. The bulk of the harvest is normal oranges, save one golden orange that has six pips, reminiscent of its predecessor. However, unlike the original orange, the pips of this fruit have never been able to sprout a new tree. Instead, each contains one pawn of Creo vis. The flesh of the golden orange is reputed to have life-sustaining powers. Tradition is it that the wedges of this fruit are distributed to the grogs of the covenant each Winter Solstice. This tree was a gauntlet gift from Gavin's parens.

It teaches the secrets of how someone with strong faerie blood can augment their power using a talisman as a focus, ultimately teaching how to access words of power, mainly from among the faerie, but elsewhere as well. Unfortunately, the strengthening of the faerie power renders the magus' powers useless over consecrated ground.

Background
Ceri is a magical white cat, covenant born and raised. Her mother was a familiar to a maga, and her litter mates were mostly destined for the same. Service to a magus was not only her destiny, but her escape from the prison of the covenant. For as a magical cat, she was forced to remain near the covenant's Aura, lest she fade away. But once she was linked to a magus, all that would change, and she would be free to wander, as a proper cat should.[/strike]

Background
When Gavin was finished with his gauntlet, he arranged a visit back to the faerie lands where he could see his mother, a Leanan Sidhe, and tell her what he'd made of himself. She was pleased that Gavin had found such a powerful place in the world, and felt that he needed a proper gift to celebrate. She picked up some sticks from the forest floor and fashioned them into a human form - head, body, two arms, and two legs. Then, with her faerie magic she animated the figure telling Gavin that if he was to be a proper magus he would need a proper servant. This new creature, who declared himself named Groot, was to be the perfect assistant in the lab and out. Thankfully Groot no longer looked like a pile of sticks, but rather a small person with skin the brown of tree bark and hair and eyes the green of leaves. Soon thereafter, Gavin bound the small man as his familiar and has never looked back.

Note: I'd take the Story Flaw Magical Creature Companion, if that were allowed, to represent that his faerie nature makes Groot mischievous.

You seem to have one extra virtue. Not counting Great Talisman and Strong Faerie Blood you have 11. You should also note the Restriction on your character sheet.

I'm not seeing it. Where did you get 11? Did you accidentally count Second Sight? That comes with Strong Faerie Blood.

I copied and pasted an old sheet to get something up and modified it as appropriate just to get something up. I hadn't had a chance to finish spells and didn't get a chance to double check Abilities. I think I forgot to add Second Sight, as you noted.

I also didn't have time to add notations to all the virtues. I'll do that as I have time.

I only had a moment to run through numbers in my head. At gauntlet, where are all those extra points in Characteristics coming from? Also, at gauntlet are you missing 10 or 15 points or so? Maybe I skipped over an Ability at 2 by accident.

Also, you might want to note at top that the first post is at game start, not at gauntlet.

You might want to edit your spells and talisman:

  1. Your Personal Veil of Invisibility is still listed at R: Touch.
  2. Dreadful Bane of the Fae doesn't show up with your talisman, just the copy you made of Demon's Eternal Oblivion so that you could adjust it for this spell.

You know we only have an aura of 3 to work with during development, right? But I think it is assumed we already have a lab to work with so you would get to recoup two seasons. But I think you lose one of those recouped seasons looking for your familiar.
