general ooc

You could do one without vis.

I checked again the library post and couldn't find it, also he rolled Isabel's skill to find it so are we probably not talking about the same. there is a tractatus but I'd much rather use it after

I assume this is available for next seasons

Oh! That one hadn't been on his list before. He had the Parma Magica and Rego summas before, both of which are in the special collection. Now I see you mean the Corpus summa, which he recently added. Got it. Sorry.

I updated for availability and switched out the last season to learn some library lore.

Wow, three of us have Affinity with Rego!!!

I asked that question before:

Now, I just what would be involved in convincing Isabel or the Council that a Corpus primer is Worth putting in the "Pride". The value of that L5Q15 Corpus summa seems evident to me, but for more senior magi that may not be the case.

Animus will try to have it recognized as such, and talk with the others about supporting the move if necessary.

Alright I did an an additionnal (successful ) test

I may need a day or two to see how exactly you have filled your seasons. Fortunately, most of it seems to be quite conventional.

Arthur: If you want to convince the librarian of the merits of a book, roll (or get someone to roll) an appropriate ability.

Do we edit the characters with new stats or do we post a new version with new stat in initial threads ?

They are your characters and I doubt I'd be able to spot trickery, so this works on a trust basis.

Oersonally, I find editing + xp logs the easisest to read way but ymmv

Animus will approach Isabel about it. "It could be useful to have at least one primer for each of the Arts easily available. That nice Corpus summa that you found for me may not be quite as good as the other primers, but perhaps setting it aside might be a good idea. What do you think? I am sure the other magi would be grateful to have that one available in the future. He smiles at her.

Charm roll of 1d10+1=11. That means I rolled a 0 on the die. If this is a stress roll, then the result is 1 with no botch (1d10=9). I'd argue that it wasn't stress, since it doesn't really matter to Animus as the summa is no longer of any use to him. This was more of a gesture that would be useful to the covenant and other magi.

For Eduardo: (place holder as i will edit this perfectly in short order, with my own stuff)

Story xp: Finesse 5xp-->1, Creo 4xp-->4
Season 1: Install lab. Magic Theory +2
Season 2: Install lab. Magic Theory +2
Season 3: mentem primer 21xp 1d10=3 pass
Season 4: animal primer 21xp 1d10=5 Pass
Season 5: aquam primer 21xp 1d10=6 Pass
Season 6: "Il Diablo" 15xp 1d10=1 fail
Season 7: herbam primer 21xp 1d10=6 pass
Season 8: "Il Diablo" 15xp 1d10=1 pass

What level qualifies as which so i can get this done right

+12 if summa quality is very high/max (15xp)
+11 if tractatus quality is very high/max (14xp)
+8 is quality is good (11xp)
+4 if quality is average (8xp)
+0 if quality is bearable (5xp)

Everything is in the formulas :
-1 for every additional language you can read except Arabic, Greek
-2 each if you can read books in Arabic or Greek

+1 per book you have tried to find on the same topic (e.g. a High quality summa on Ignem, or an average Tractatus on Finesse).

+3 Hermetic topic, except spell mastery and Parma Magica
+8 If looking for a book on spell mastery (published spells only) or Parma Magica
+3 topic is not scholarly, but typically learned from books(e.g. etiquette, Profession: falconer)
+6 topic is not typically learned from a book (e.g. firing bows)

+(level-5) for the level of summae on arts
+((level x 3)-6) for summae on abilities

+12 if summa quality is very high/max (15xp)
+11 if tractatus quality is very high/max (14xp)
+8 is quality is good (11xp)
+4 if quality is average (8xp)
+0 if quality is bearable (5xp)

Ex : to find a level 10 quality 15 summo on perdo is in either latin or spanish up need a roll in Triamore library lore that reaches at least :
12 for quality of the summa
+3 for Hermetic subject
+5 from level of the summa
-1 from your languages diversity

for a final lvl of 19 so to get It you can roll yourself or ask Isabel She has Triamore library lore of 7 and intelligence 3 and her speciality probably applies. so roll is 1d10+11 to beat 19

Ahhh I'm a dope didn't notice the xp at the end

im a little brain dead today, the library system the pride/primers do those require rolls to find if you are just going to the librarian, or are those easily to get on hand so long as they are not being used. And the rest of the library system is for finding things that are not present in that list? (Between work and school im lucky i remember my name)

Only need roll to check availability for primers.

And that's the triamore lore roll at 16 for a primer or am I missing anything? That's sans modifiers

Not sure if you're talking about a listed primer or an unlisted primer so I'll answer both :

-For a listed primer you only roll 1d10 and get it if you don't get a 1 on the roll (10% chance that it's unavailable) this has nothing to do with Triamore library lore
-You can't get an unlisted primer because the highest quality you can reach by Pralix's rule is 15...(for a summa)

Aha that answers my confusion and the small words I missed
