General Table Talk

Ok marko, take care and don't worry, we'll still be here when you're back!

Ambassador: I dunno.
I want to say yes, of course! But I wonder how many we are already (About 8 by my quick count), and if this won't get out of hand. I mean, aside from small bits from Vibria's Envied Beauty (and that's due to us roleplaying it rather than a story), I think I've yet to see a single player story flaw came into play, which is, to me, a good count of staffing :-/

I want to try to somewhat alleviate marko's task by maybe running some small bits of story, but I'm not even sure I'll be able to run one finely, lest 2 of them.

What says you people?

I have to regretfully agree with Fixer. We have more players and (especially) characters than we can really accommodate right now, despite running half a dozen stories simultaneously. If we had a few regular beta SGs it would be different, but at this point that's not really happening.

Not to worry, let me know if things evolve.

Ok, Bernat is now posted as a "proper" thread, and his backstory has been flashed out in the hours before his arrival (wet, wounded and in the middle of the night; date is flexible) at the covenant. I'm hoping he can appear in an actual story thread soonish, but obviously I realise Marko's move is going to slow stuff down. I hope it all goes well for you - they say it's one of the most stressful things you ever do in life!

(I don't have much to add on the topic of new players, so I won't).

You can open your own thread for your arrival at the covenant and we can work from there. Someone is bound to participate in the thread, even if it is using grogs only (ion case they do not want to use a main character). Quite an easy scene.

I have overplayed Roberto's True Love story flaw. Mentor has not come up in this saga, but you have seen it in other sagas. Not sure if that counts though. Carmen's Close Family Ties have been subdued and her Mentor has made no appearnce since the beginning scene of this leg of the saga. I also have not been playing Carmen much lately. For Vocis, his Close Family Ties are omnipresent. True again, more roleplayed and no actual story. But it is not ignored. His Mentor and Covenant Upbringing have not been a factor yet though. For Arachne, we have barely touched on her Diabolic Past. Fedora's Dependent Flaw has been role played but not yet a story. By now, Seymon should be no longer a dependent and that flaw should cover her younger children instead.
That covers most of the oldest characters of the saga (oldest in terms of how long ago IRL they started play).

Also, Solomon's succubus from his Plagued by Supernatural Entity flaw made a cameo in the Christmas in Barcelona thread. I'm guessing there would have been more if Marko hadn't lost his connectivity for that extended time period.

That is true. Thanks for the reminder.

Pulling the plug sometime today. The interruption will not be long

Saying something like this is just daring the Viagra spammers to shut down the forums.

Hey all, with Marko offline for a bit and most of the stories on hold, would now be a good time to walk through Acutus' introduction to the Masters and petition for membership? I don't think it's going to go quite as smoothly as Lucas' and Fleur's did, so I think it's worth playing through.

I think the plan was for Fedora to introduce him after the events of the Pamplona thread.

Works for me. But then, Lucas won't be involved in this debate, so it's easy for me to agree to it.

Actus got bogged down in two story threads instead of directly being introduced to the council. Road to Pamplona seems to have gotten stuck in Barcelona waaaay too long. I propose we wrap that up and heard everyone back to Andorra before sending Fedora to the next stop (and involving less people).

I am at the cyber café today
Cannot do this every day. but it will be a week before I can get interwebz at home

This is fine: My boss sprung a surprise intern on me, and she's taking me a lot of time, so I can't really connect :frowning:

Still here, though, but don't expect much of me for 2 weeks :frowning:

Since we're talking about being away, I wanted to let everyone know that I'll be away on vacation from 17 July through 27 July on an Alaskan cruise. I'll have my iPad, and should have Internet connection. But I don't expect I'll be doing much in the way of posting.

I'm fine with fast tracking or splitting Road to Pampalona.

I found m local Chicago Publkic Lirary branch, three blocks away on 55th & California
This I can afford to do every day. But It will be more likw 2 or 3 days a week. Home interwebz are a week away

Yep, it's all good. I just thought we might be able to do it concurrently.

Same here. I'm finally back from vacation and will catch up as I can.

You can so assume.
