If Marko is busy I'd be willing to run such a search...
Not cliché, classsic 8)

I like it when we think alike
Gorilla Grod is what I was imagining at first as well
But now that I understand what type of animal is involved, I have more subtle ideas.
Fightmaster. If you want a story and a potentially powerful familiar, Silveroak will run a story. I made him Story Squid, as he is abtly able to handle low/mid impact tales that I am not so good at (and because his stories generate a lot of player activity).
Or we can handeave it, find and bind in the same season. Might 10 and Summer (or 15 and Spring).
How about this - we combine the familiar search with a story idea I mentioned a few months ago. Pere and Lucas are both merchant-types but kind of an odd couple. I thought it would be fun to have them run around the Med and see what hijinks came their way. Looking at the planner, Lucas still has autumn 1235 assigned to CoB, so he's theoretically free that season.
This reminds me - Marko, can you add these seasonal xp house rules to the House Rules thread? I think I know how they work, but I'd like to have them in a handy reference location for future use.
i will do that. eventually. Phone posting is difficult.
I am woe to add to the HR's, since I view it as more of a clarification than a rule. But technically it is an HR. One I have seen in most every saga whithout anyone realizing it is non standard.
And I like Fightmaster's story idea. Silveroak. Does the idea interest you? I can run it if you want, the task being made easier by having a suggested direction. Or I could play it. Or watch
I will have something started tomorrow.
Traveling today, will get started on the Money Quest thread tomorrow.
Speaking of the Money Quest, would Pere and Lucas be willing to let Selim accompany them. He's a merchant as well, and would like to get in on some good "merchanting"
i could play Carlos. Or make it one last fling for Johan before I retire him
A little bit of cultural education.
Fireball
I hear this song at the club two or three times a week. It is pop music, not the hardcore club stuff. And it has a classic old fashioned style reminiscent of the American 1920's.
And there is a lot of fire
BTW, the quote "Virtue United is Stronger" is Carmen, not Roberto. It is the English translation of the Latin motto on the flag of actual modern Andorra (though it prolly goes way way back). Carmen is the only one (I think) that is actually from Andorra. Technically she was born in Barcelona, but was brought here while still an infant. Roberto, on the other hand, is a Spaniard from New Castile. His favorite quotes include "Join or Die" and "Time Destroys all Things".
Hey guys, since I last checked in I've had two delayed flights, a visit from the in-laws, a family wedding (unrelated to the in-laws visit), a visit from the police, a job interview, evicted a semi-permanent houseguest (definitely related to the police visit), and accepted a new job offer. My head's just not in the game right now. Barring further crises, this weekend should be nice and calm. You should hear from me then.
No worries broseph! Beliebe me. I understand
We all do... You've seen my posting slow down to a crawl, but in the past, I've dissappeared entirely
Happy to have you (potentially) back, though
I myself have taken ill, so I am also slow responding. I have had several interviews and been running around in this weather, dragging me down. I need to go home and rest. Intended to do a lot atthe library today, but I am drained of energy.
Still very ill. Been hitting random posts on the phone, but have not the energy or discipline to nail down serious business (like the fight scene in the CoB thread).
Will recover soon. I had Ebola once. Walked it off. This is just a severe cold.
My favourite example for Incomprehensible is Hagrid, from the Harry Potter series. Smart, knows magical creatures inside and out, and has no trouble talking...but an absolute rubbish teacher.
Excellent example
