Cradle & Crescent includes sections on Mythic Persia & Mythic Mesopotamia, and it seems like a perfect playground for 'Arabian Nights' style play. Has anyone tried this? Would moving the timeline to an earlier epoch help or be appropriate? Anyone have insights on things that might present complications to such a game, or interesting elements that could be included?
I've ran an adventure in Golden Baghdad for my players. Urbancrawl game structures, with concrete rules for exploring them, along with the rules for the Faerie Realm form RoP:F, are going to be your best friends.
I think using "Between Sand & Sea" works a little better, as the virtues for the Thieves of Marrakech (BS&S p52 onwards) gives that excellent feel for scoundrelous adventure. "The pavilion of three items" would make for an excellent adventure.
