The Novus Mane PbP is moving at a 5 to 1 rate. We started a year ago and we are now 5 years into the saga 
As your sagas fly (or crawl) by, how do you handle experience for the grogs?
My group has been playing ArM4 for a couple of years real time, six year in game. Over the years, our magi have acquired several combat-oriented grogs, in addition to personal shield grogs (not to mention several children who may or may not make good apprentices in a few years). Keeping track of the paperwork on the population often slips.
Ideas?
15 xp per year...... and just recalculate each time the character comes into play (it is what i do with my companion, because i am lazy)
Our troupe just doesn't.
We are happy to use the templates given in the book or create templates of our own, and our grogs don't get xp. We kind of assume the young ones will shift template into veterans and specialists will die before they get too good.
The only ones we keep track of are the ones given a longevity potion, which are not many at all, and we handle them with 1 free season and exposure on the rest of the year.
