This is a ring of hazel wood the size of a large hand. On one side of the ring is engraved the word speak on the opposite side the word listen. This device is activated by two people grasping the ring with their hands and the person holding the side labeled speak says a short statement (six seconds maximum). When this is done the person holding the side labeled listen will understand the meaning of the statement regardless of the language, providing that they have no magic resistance. The device can not be used by people who do not have hands. This laboratory text has a +3 material modifier for hazel.
