A bucket forged from hammered bronze, bearing the smith's sigil on the bottom. Shouting the word "FIRE" in the magus' native tongue while holding The Smothering Pail conjures ten cubic paces of black sand, pouring in a gentle stream from inside the bucket over the course of a few seconds.
This lesser enchanted device was made for a Verditus magus' Gauntlet. Besides dousing grease fires and acid spills, a Hermetic covenant will likely find dozens of uses for an arbitrarily large amount of sand. Older covenants tend to accumulate "grog problem solvers" such as this.
