This tiny, hand-held mirror of polished brass has a grooved filigree along its edge, resembling the structure of a housefly's wings. A human or humanoid magical being speaking the Latin word "Veritas" while looking into the mirror is informed of both their apparent age and their actual age, along with a mental image of how they would appear without magical longevity. After use, the mirror is obscured by patina until the next morning. The information is shared with the user in a sudden passing voice, not unlike a fly buzzing near their ear. Despite its robust design, the Tattle-Tail Mirror was designed by a young apprentice who could not draw the full potential out of the materials granted to her.
Another enchanted item built after the false Longevity Potion fiasco. The Tattle-Tail Mirror got its name not from helping to verify future Longevity Rituals, but from its mediocre design proving that the punished Merinita did not enchant the item herself. The local peripheral codes were later updated to specify who must work on the donated items; the disgruntled apprentice later shook off her parens' reputation by becoming the Order's least likely Hoplite.
