mystery criamon of winding?

Hi,
In HOH MC, it is said that there is a path of "winding" used by the first prima after Criamon.
But I don't find that mystery anywhere?
Was it discussed somewhere? subrosa? another book?

I found it by re-reading a section of HOHMC. It's the path for the criamon who do not follow a criamon path but a "normal" mystery.

The Winding Path is made up of those Criamon who are still finding their way, rather than directly pursuing a Path marked by innitiators. So, Muscaria, the current Prima, has been on the Path of the Body since her master experimented on her as a kid. Her apprentices, who weren't trained in the Path of the Body, follow the Winding Path until they are vocationally drawn to a method of answering the Enigma. Note that this doesn't necessarily mean some other Mystery. You could roam around for a decade and then decide a Path is calling you. Or that there's a new Path.

Criamon's successor really didn't have much choice. There may not have been initiatory paths in the early house beyond Criamon's. The Path of Walking Backwards, for example, IMO, didn't exist until the Schism/Corruption made someone desperate enough to discover how to use a keisaku.

(To explain - it's a whacking stick of wisdom, beloved of Jedi. Both Yoda and Luke use the technique.)

On that note, when would you say the Path of Walking Backwards was invented exactly? When did Abdkypris travel in Muslim lands?

Sufi tradition goes back all the way to the earliest days of Islam, but a lot of important developments happened in the late 12th early 13th century, so I used to think it was very recent... but apparently it's not intended to have been that recent?

I'm not sure I've thought this out.

I'd be interested to hear any thoughts you do have. I know the lore about Abdkypris predates your involvement, but I really loved the Criamon treatment in Mystery Cults! Some of the best material in the whole gameline, IMO.

And yet... all Primi are supposed to follow the Path of Mirrors, no?

Eventually, yes. Remember some are "lost".
