Basically I did a search for COlonial America and found some nifty Things

Thayan, your link doesn't work for me.

Mike, I'd love to read that Morrow book. I had the pleasure of hearing Morrow speak about his own work some years ago. It was shortly after the publication of his breakthrough novel, "Towing Jehovah", in which God's enormous corpse is found floating in the ocean (yes, you read that correctly).

Many Northern Crown fans have mentioned Orson Scott Card's Alvin Maker series and J. Gregory Keyes' Age of Unreason series as good inspiration.

I can't agree enough on the "Age of Unreason" books. There are four of them and they fit very well with the fantasy flavor of NC. In fact, I would love to be able to model the magic from the books into the rpg. They also have some very good "inventions" that can be purloined for NC.

Cheers!
