Drowning in work. Hopefully, it'll get better next week? Please?
Trying to read an follow at least that, but it's hard.

Sorry about lack of posting from here, I've been having job interviews, insane deadlines for work and to top it all off some sort of virus. Hopefully I'll be better next week.

Richard

and now my iPhone is in for repair until the new year! "Waily Waily Waily"

No work tomorrow, which means I can stay up past 7, 7.30. Woohoo! :unamused:

Is it sad that I'm reloading this page every 20 minutes to see if any of our players are online?

I'm glad I'm not the only one

I thought i was the only one with no family (mother deceased , dementia-ridden dad in nursing home) , job or other social commitments. :astonished:

And its sunday at 12:52pm , not saturday night here.

What IM service do we all have in common?
I have Yahell! or Skype.

Moved back in with my parents about 2-1/2 years ago (my lady's idea) to help them out, from Texas. Both have health issues, but especially Dad (pulmonary fibrosis, six heart attacks that we know of, and just not doing well these days). And working part time at McDonald's for the past year and a half.

I'm on Yahoo.

McDonalds was my first ever job , post high school and working in the local supermarket.
Rather ironic , as the family name is McDonald.

on yahell! my email is kalak_of_the_branta_clan@yahoo.com
(a former DnD character)

I'm on a half dozen IM clients. For Yahoo, I'm "romeofalling."

my yahoo is cuteolpuddytat

:-/

Looks tough, I hope you'll manage it all.

Me, I'm just back from black metal Ice Age, and going back to workhell

Merry Christmas, Joyeux Noel, Frohe Weihnachten, si Crăciun fericit to all of you!

the infamous random harlot table, found on page 192 of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Dungeon Master's Guide (1st edition),

•01-10 Slovenly trull
•11-25 Brazen strumpet
•26-35 Cheap trollop
•36-50 Typical streetwalker
•51-65 Saucy tart
•66-76 Wanton wench
•77-85 Expensive doxy
•86-90 Haughty courtesan
•91-92 Aged madam
•93-94 Wealthy procuress
•95-98 Sly pimp
•99-00 Rich panderer

Thank you, merry christmas to you too. And to everyone else!

Lovely, a shame it's not illustrated!

Do we cross-reference that table with a roll on the Random Racial Selection table? That would give me a 0.03% chance of encountering a Psionic Half-Dragon Wealthy Procuress!

Just to explain lack of posts , seems i have had conjunctivitis for the past week.
Only started treatment today.

Warping Points: +02 , assume two free seasons per year , casting up to 540 sponts per season ,
without doing die rolls , say 03 warping points per season (18) = +54 , Warping Score = 04

Twilight Roll: Sta = 0 + Concentration = 01 + Vim Form Bonus = 0 + S.D. = 07 vs.
Warping Score = 04 + 02 Warping Points + Enigmatic Wisdom = 0 + S.D. = 07
08 vs 13 , failed

Twilight Comprehension: Int = +01 + E.W. = 0 + S.D. = 05 vs.
Warping Score =04 + S.D. = 08 ; 06 vs 12 , failed

One day in Twilight plus a bad experience.
Warping points gained = 01 (simple die) , Twilight Scar ,
lose 02 experience points in an Art or Magic Theory.

Just running this as an example of what might happen.
Personally , if we find Rego or Herbam vis , i will study from that if possible.

Had we had even a standard Quality 11 tractatus ,
then after 09 seasons , i would have 99xp , not 72xp and no Twilight Roll.

Yes , i know it would be unlikely to have 9 tractatus on Terram
and that i could have lucked out on the stress die ,
but for this example , that did not happen.

Assuming i have made no mistakes in assigning dice , this is not a pleasing result.

More and more , even with vis available , this scenario is becoming less enchanting.
I still like the whole discovery aspect , we may get a cache of useful Hermetic writing ,
a lab might be possible in two years for one magus and subsequent lab building could be faster.

I dont expect the ST to ruin his story by revealing potential rewards.

Not Happy Jan!

:frowning: Bleak prospects indeed
