Pern Dragonriders online Ars Magica game

I'd like to welcome one or two more players to our Adventurers of Pern game, set in Anne McCaffrey's excellent fantasy feel psi world. Player characters are at Companion level but may start linked to a green or blue dragon, fire-lizard or watchwher. Dragons come with Duty and a social status that costs 3 points. Green dragons share Lecherousness with their riders, while blue dragons must be unable either to flame or to fly and are likewise message-runners and transport.

So far we have a Weaver daughter of Lord Groghe, a healer in a wheelchair with a watchwher and an older and younger green dragonrider. The younger one's family fortune is regrettably in timber, but Thread, the organism-destroying invader, turned out to be real. They have discovered something that looks like a large, teleporting crocodile with cultists.

I avoid contradicting the books with plot but player characters' choices may change the world. Dragon flame uses Arc of Fiery Ribbons while Second Sight and Twilight refer to between, where the dragons jump.

No knowledge of either Pern or Ars Magica is necessary. It's quite likely your character wouldn't know a lot about what's going on anyway, and we're happy to answer questions.

Time travel is possible on a dragon that knows exactly when and where it's going, unlike Ars Magica.

These are wonderful novels and a great setting. I remember reading White Dragon as a kid and realizing pretty quickly Iā€™d come in halfway through the story. But catching up was a delight.
